I think that alot of people are getting worked up over enterprise when the story has only just begun. even still its prety obvious that the temporal cold war is a foil for them to rewrite the past history of star trek and then just make it all vanish away if they want to and have archer etc wiped from time! thats my view of it.
Oh and that episode with the Vulcans with emotions, if im not mistaken is the start Romulans basically. they did used to be vulcans after all. |

As I recall, everyone was saying "Klingons? WHere are the Klingons?" When they were directed to the old-style guys they aked Worf about it and he simply said "we don't talk about it". This was basically just a wink and nod to the fans, playing around. But the official explanation from Roddenberry was that they always looked the way they do now and we just have to visualize the ridges on the old actors.

erm... didn't they take it to the scrap yard in 1947 ?

The first captain of the Constitution class Enterprise (from the original series) was Robert April. Then Chris Pike took over, followed by Jim Kirk.

Actually, I haven't seen every episode and if they mentioned the class designation, I missed it. It shouldn't be constitution, but if it is, well, I dunno what to tell you. The sip that was in the original series was the Constitution class. When it was refitted for the movies, some books called it the Enterprise class, but it was referred to as constitution again in one of the later movies (6?).
