Just the fellowship, you have to wait till nxt christmas to see the Two Towers and the christmas after that you get The Return of The King

It definately worth seeing. However, if you expect to see a 100% accurate movie, you'll be dissapointed. I thought the movie was an excellent adaptation of the book. The main story line follows, the acting and the scenery are superb.

Its a must see definitely! As many have said it is indeed 90% accurate with the book, even they verses that the actors speak are almost 100% accurate with the lines in the book.

Its by far the best movie you can see if you like Dungeon and Dragons and just Tokiens World. It has quite a lot of errors, but it is still overall a great job for a 3 hour movie.

Go see it! .

Well, I've just this minute returned from the cinema, seeing it, and although it doesn't follow the story perfectly, look at other adaptations of books into films and they pale in comparison.
It is a tremndous film and I recommend it to everyone.

I have now watched the movie 8 times, thats 24 hours of watching lotr I love it so very much, it is The Best Movie ever made anywhere every by anyone or anything in any time as far as I am concerned And Hugo Weaving made an excellent Elrond imo ..I only decided that on the 3rd sitting though lol

A MUST SEE

Blind Prophet
Lt me add my voice to the rest on this thread - you'll be doing yourself a BIG disfavour if you miss this. Double that if you've read the books (FOTR, TT, ROTK).

Although I only completed reading the trilogy once, the movie visualised so many of the major parts of the book. The Mines of Moria was dark, dismal, creepy, just like I had imagined it.

It also brought tears to my eyes when (spoiler - don't read if you haven't read the first book)

Boromir's death scene when he tries to redeem himself & to cover the ring bearer while he makes his escape. His deathbed conversation with Aragorn was moving and brought a lump to my throat.

It's a great film. Well worth seeing!

Lord of the rings is a very good movie. Although if you read the book you'll understand it just a little better. They do skip everything about Tom Bodali. I didn't get to finish the entire book, so I can't say much else about accuracy.

Hey blind weren't you supposed to see that movie tonight? But you didn't because you guys waited for me when I told Jaros I wasn't coming for a ride. Too bad. ;)

I have not read the book, but LOTR is defintely worth the $$ and the 3 hours. Why do film makers take so long to shoot the sequel (just like Phantom of the Menace)? Sigh.....

Actually, IIRC, all three movies are more or less done already, but they wanted to release it one at a time.
