i got in there last night(or maybe it was tihs morning?? cant remember) And the lag was unbearable.. there were like 5 others in there with melee fighter characters and they couldnt even attack/hit anything.. their chars wouldnt even make the attack animation yet the group of bugbears and orgres surrounding them could... I had to keep saving them with my empowered ice storms, and even my spells took an estremely long time to cast... Is it always like this or was your connection getting a lot of traffic this mornin?(or last night?)
:::EDIT:::I was just in there again, no more lag.. good EXP from respawning baddies, although it it lacking story (probably because its not finished yet) I really do like the HUGE dungeons tho and the surprise of walking right in the middle of a group of drow assassins while they appear out of nowhere all around you =) Im guessing you didnt build any of LVL3 and beyond yet?? LoL we had a whole group of about 6 people scouring the whole part of the second level looking for that damned key to lvl 3... nothing. Then it hit me that the module wasnt finished and everyone got mad because i didnt think of that sooner lol. [ 07-07-2002, 07:15 PM: Message edited by: Recluse ] |

You could pick up a little cable router from Linksys or Netgear at your local computer store for $100 - $150. Basically, you connect the the router to your cable connection and all your computers to it. You then have your own little LAN, and can access the Net and your other machines. You could share printers/ scanners and anything else you wanted. They are not hard to configure and don't require a network professional to set up. Ping me if you have ?s |
Z-Man. what is the highestlevel characters that you will take? My 3rd level paladin doesn't survive five minutes.

Er um
I must be thick. I have just managed to connect my PC through my router, as well as my Mac, so I am talking to you for the first time through my PC. I have tried various ways of connecting to Undermountain but I am not having much luck, and although I know what I am doing on computers I have never ever played a multiplayer game before. I have tried typing 65.32.176.202 straight into my browser to connect with Undermountain but I keep getting this page cannot be displayed. When I click on multiplayer in my NWN game I create my new account but it comes up with try another nick. It has told me that with three new accounts now, and surely nobody uses the name I used for my character!!!!!! I have just downloaded Gamespy to make sure it is OK and that checks out fine. I have also created a three new accounts, and I would like to clear them from the data so I can retry and start again. How do I do this, I have looked in my NWN folder but have no clue where to look to delete. I cannot find a way to type in the IP code in my multiplayer box, so I presumed that I do it in my browser, which I have done. Forgive me if I appear slightly confused, could someone spell out the exact way to go about it, and if I am doing it right, ?????? where am I going wrong. Thanks Lady Zidane Maybe this is the response when the server is full, I don't know. |
I *THINK* that you go into multiplayer then "Join LAN Game" or something like that then go to "Direct Connection" then put the IP address into the server name thingy. But i could be wrong.
