Can't find a specific listing on line 1707. Its probably either a corrupted file or a dirty CD. It could also be a dirty CDROM lens, in which case a standard CDROM cleaner will do the trick.

Ok I'll get all the cleaner stuff and wee what it does. Thanks all, I really appreciate it!

Edit : I just tried it after cleaning the disk, same problem but this time the error says Line 1072 and it crashes particulary everytime I try to look at the world map or travel to a different area, having to go through the map... Could this mean anything?

1702 rings a bell. Lemme look it up...

Line 1072
This will occur if Tales of The Sword Coast has been previously installed, the save games have been converted, but upon reinstallation of Baldurs TOSC was not reinstalled. You will need to install TOSC to utilize the save games that have already been converted.
Since you have TotSC installed, you would seem to have a broken game. Reinstalling it from scratch would probably clear it up.

I've had a problem very similar to this, incidently also with icewind dale multiplayer.
Mine would crash to the desktop when ever I tried to leave the map (Although I didn't get any error messages).
I found the cause to be an item in my inventory, so I dropped everything I had (with a full party this takes sometime!) moved to another map and saved, and then came back and picked up all my items.
Could be worth a try...
