Interesting that hardly anyone picked axes or blunt weapons...I guess the Drizzt influence has infected us all. :D

I've always preferred swords to other kinds of weapons, since long before Driz'zt was around.

Drizz't shesh ever hear of King Aurthor I think he used a sword!

Seriously do you mean what weapons do we use for dual wielding.. or what are prefered in general?

I think the double axe is the coolest double weapon.

For a strength fighter if prefer bastard sword.
For a dex fighter dual weild short sword/dagger.

Dwarves I prefer hammers, and thrown axes.

Elves longbow and longsword clasic style.

Thief short bow, flail, dagger clasic style.

Mage staff, club, dagger, dart

Sorcerer staff and sling

but then again the monks fists are the most effective weapon in the game so _^_

Heh, playing an elven ranger, I tend to go for longswords and longbows, a legacy of BG1... lol, even tho I didnt know that longswords/longbows were elven. opps heh, I just felt the longsword was *right* lol, not too heavy, not too short ;) besides when I got my dragonslaying longsword in BG2 it kinda sealed it ;) and longbows... because... well, shortbows suck! except for horseback and for theives/bards etc... and slings... not even in the picture... crossbows?! bah! stuntie weapons ;)

Actually when it comes to dual-weilding I always carry a Stave in my left hand and a katana in my right, I find it to be quite usefull, and you don't have to have it say "ambidexterity" you have it anyway... if you can hold 2 weapons at once then what's bugging you?

Some people forget that staves are one-handed

Actually, a quarterstaff is a two-handed weapon. A magic staff (eg a mage-specific weapon like the Staff of the Magi) can be carried in one hand as it is not wielded as a weapon that causes damage (which is why you don't need the ambidexterity or 2H fighting feat), but a standard quarterstaff using the quarterstaff blueprint is a two-handed weapon.
