I have talked to scanthril, and I know about the assassin stuff, and how to make one, etc. Remeber that I have read most of the interesting posts on the forums, the tips and hints on the site, and read the manual.

For the spell thingy, I only got a specialist in sun magic and another in spirit. My warlock is not bad with rock magic, poor in fiend and very bad in moon. My ninja is beginning to learn some moon magic, but it's hard to raise skills when you only get 1 point because she is still under her rogue level of 12, but she has her open lock/trap skill at 7. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I just finished the stout mines, nothing to it, pretty darn easy if you tell me, the doogre lair was fifty times harder, if not a hundred, with all those lilies, and witches. Now I am caught to go back there since I missed a chest or two and my samurai need to make the quest there.

Speaking of guild quest, I'm looking for a ninja assassin for the dojo, and a bandit for the town hall. I guess the bandit will show up behind the spire or dragon mountain, but the other I have no idea where he is. I also am searching for the band of boars, i wonder where it is. If you can give me guidelines for these quests, it would be fun, I had no problems with any other quests before that, they are all done and successful.

The stout mines were really easy, and I didn,t see any rock beast that lived in the lava, the only thing I saw were dogs, hellhound wannabes that I killed quite easily, healed one character twice, the other were intact. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

What are the dos and don'ts of the spire? Got any?

Thanks for your ideas, comments and replies. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Try BoogrePrison for the Band of Boars. As to assassin - just wait unil you get to the other side of the dragon mountain http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif
It is nice to hear that you've found Stout Mines easy http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif For me it was not so simple (not because of the monsters, but because of those endless corridors with numerous elevators http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif I wonder how I could be so lucky not to gain claustrophobia after that http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

One side note. You know, Moon magic is one of the most useful thing to learn - because of its teleportation spells. You are saying that your spellcasters are poor specialists in Moon magic right now - may be you should consider learning it to get Call of Home and Teleport? Sorry for the unrequested advise http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Thanks for the assassin advice, but I didn't want to make one of my characters an assassin yet, they just began their second carreers and only one or two of them have leveled over their first carreer level.

Well, I think it was pretty darn easy, the stout mines that is. No real challenge there, even the maze isn't much of a maze. Well, once I got the spare part, and the gold, it was even easier after that. If it wasn't for the switch thingies, I would have made the level in 15 min tops, it took me an hour or so to make it because ofthe switches. I think this is called stretching both in movie and game terms. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

I still don't know where to find that brigand mentioned in the town hall guild quest. Please give me a hint to where to expect him or something like that.

So I need to wait until I get on the other side of the spire to see the assassin that is mentioned in the dojo guild quest? Shoot! I wanted to raise in the guild. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif I guess I'll need to wait after that. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

In case you are wondering why I ask that here, about the hints is that I don't want to finish the game knowing that I finished it because of the answers on this site. The reason why I don't read the posts about these kinda things, I want to finish the game in the proper manner.

Thank you all for your precious advice and clues. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

OK, small little clarification:

1- Band of Boar: it's in the chest right behind the gate at the entrance of the Boogre's Cave.

2- The Assassin quest for the Dojo: You know where the Boogre's Cave is. Go back to the little lake, and into the clearing just to the West. You'll find Schrew there. The assassin on the other side of the Spire is Grue Morde, it's an assassin guild quest, not the Dojo's.

3- The Brigants are on the other side of the Spire... with Grue Morde once you get that quest.

4- About Moon Magic: do you train you characters? Since you read most goody posts on this site, you know about guild hopping and the takeshu arrow buy/sell trick... that should solve your moon magic (and any other skills) training problem with 1pt per level http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

If you need anything else, don't hesitate to post http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I have made the second quest at the armory at Ishad N'ha but the dude says that he doesn,t need me anymore, and I didn't do the lamp quest! What's with that?

BTW
Who said that the spire was difficult? I had a harder time going through the assassin and the bandit king and his gang (there was two mountain spiders with them also, but it didn't change anything. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif ). I went through the spire like if it was made in a straight line. I went through it without even looking back in case I missed something, use spirit eye, or even the map for reference. The way people talked on the forums, I thought it would be something very hard, at least as hard as the boogre caves, I was afraid of seeing some lilies and mantraps in there.

I have killed the assassin, will this prevent me from ascending in the assassin guild? Do I need to reload a previous save? And it wasn't the case for the warrior's guild, I gave the invitation to the stouts before killing the two headed cyclops. Weird...

Thanks again for your help, and again, your site and forums are really nice, congratulation to everyone who worked on these. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
