Bit risky as well if you want to preserve your rep.

If you read the wand's description in your inventory instead of your quickslot, you can choose there whether or not the wand shoots fireballs or Agazzanar's Scorchers. I prefer A's Scorcher myself. Easier to control, and no risk of lighting my party on fire with it. ;)

Yep but it costs 2 charges. Read it in another post a few days ago.

Stealing it back doesn't feel right. I once stole everything from the merchants in a BG2 game. Still they wanted to show me their inventory. "Look at our fine stuff". Uhh what? You don't have anything to show me!!

You wanna bet? ;) Done it heaps of times. Although I can't exactly remember if this is only in BG II or not...

Now what is really fun is to send a fighter with either ring of fire resistance or have him chug some potions of fire resistance into the xvart village. Dont let him attack just have him stand there untill he is surrounded. Then drop a fireball and watch the wave. It does seem like it might be over kill though.

if you cant right click rothrom, how do you do all the other right-click things ? like reading the description on items etc ? on PC, you need to right click items to see their description... so whatever different method you use, try it for selecting options like on wands... otherwise maybe your "use item" button on the main window toolbar might let you configure the wand

Rothrorn 03-05-2003 04:50 AM

Pirengles solution was correct, so Dynaheir now has two wands - one for fireballs and one for scorchers. Having never played BG on a PC I've never missed right clicks. To get item descriptions using BG on a mac use hold down the command key and click on the item icon. Of course you can get 2 button mice for the mac but I can't be bothered!

What about Potions of Explosions and Oils of Fiery Burning?

Are they cheesy too? I certainly wouldn't have made it through the Firewine Bridge dungeon without them.
