Saz, sounds like a fun team to play. I guess you finished your solo warrior game. How did that go?

mammawlin 05-16-2001 02:51 PM

I totally agree with Sazerac! But have found that different strokes are par in this game as in life! LOLOL

Saz, I was so glad to have my Omphaaz in the first go around because she could carry so much more than any one else! And at that point, every penny counted!

Ryanamur: bo-ring! (on the solo guy). I finished him up as a Level 90 assassin...could have gotten him higher, but I just wanted to finish. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...s/rolleyes.gif I prefer party gaming instead, I guess. Actually, I liked solo play in TES: Arena and Daggerfall, but that's all you COULD do there!

Anyway, I think I'm going to enjoy this group. Part of the fun is me listening in my head to the lingo in the group. I hear Sanjay (my Oomphaz) kind of like the little tecchie guy in "Short Circuit"..."I'm standing here next to myself!" LOL

Saz!

Is Jeroboa taken from the rat character on the Tennessee Tuxedo show? He was one of Tennessee's competitors for power at the zoo they lived in. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Mark:

YES!!! I can't BELIEVE someone actually got that reference! Jeroboa, the performing rat!

You know how much that dates us, riiiight? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/noncgi/smiles/485.gif

High-five to you! Just out of curiosity, do you remember Crashcup and Leonardo? If you got Jeroboa, you probably will! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Saz!

You've stumped me with Crashcup, but isn't Leonardo from a cartoon about a lion who is also the king? That's about all I remember of the lion. Enlighten me, please? How about Tudor (sp) the Turtle and Mr. Wizard the Lizard? Hoppity Hooper?

Saz: Sorry to hear you didn't like the solo play. I'm enjoying my 3-man party. I didn't play the game for the last 2 weeks and I just started the Serpent Temple today. It's great to play with no guild hopping... makes for a more limited game and doesn't create killer-characters right from the start.

Keep us posted on your new game.

Skywalker: Okay, extremely off topic:

http://www.wizardrealm.com/images/clyde-2.gif Crashcup and Leonardo were two cartoon scientists, sort of the same style as Tennessee Tuxedo (and out around the same time, mid 1960's). Crashcup was a nut; tall, lean, unkempt hair and bug eyes, and Leonardo, his assistant, was short and squat, and would never say anything but would pull on Crashcup's lab coat when he was urgently trying to get his attention (like a beaker was about to explode, or something like that.) Crashcup would always set out to invent something obvious, like a chair (That's "Ch" for "Ch" and "air" for "air".) Something would inevitably go wrong, and back they'd go to the drawing board. It was hilarious in a baroque sort of way.

Being that someone mentioned "Tom Green" in another thread, I could easily see Tom Green playing Crashcup and Danny DeVito playing Leonardo, if they ever did a movie on the old cartoon (and seeing the way movies like that have been popping up, I wouldn't be a bit surprised).

Back to regularly scheduled programming (and now you'll know why if I come up with a wizard named Crashcup!)
