And that can also be a pretty hard task. Not as hard as the Guardian, but though. There is a band of assassins here, and you DO NOT want to fight all of them simultaneously. There's about a dozem, and when they all start attacking they'll be hidden in the shadows untull they inflict some 50-70 points of damage to a character. They also like to target spellcasters. They are mean. But it is still alot easier than the guardian.

There is a bug that allows you to use improved invisibility in a way that untill dispelled or it runs out, you may not be attacked by fighters. |
Interesting point, Black Baron. I think I'm unable to attack a Mage because of his Improved Invisibility (see my other posting). I suspect this bug will go away with the latest patches, so exploiting it won't be an option for me. Certainly such a tactic would work well against the Guardian, as a way to keep him from attacking the rest of the party.

I dont know how its implemented in IWD2, but dragons should be able to see through even improved invisibility.

I just thought I'd bump this old thread back up 'cos I finally got round to beating the guardian just the other night. I thought I had a good tactic in blocking his path with a Cleric using Sanctuary, but to my suprise he used Teleport to jump over her and kill my party. Still I used some of the advice here and eventually got lucky, the dragon got stuck on the stairs and I was able to beat it up, but he/she is one tough cookie.

Well, let's start a club of Guardian Slayers. :D
