Go to http://www.sorcerers.net/ and go to their FAQ section for IWD, and look for the Ultimate Powergaming Party FAQ. They have a very nice spell list for a sorcerer.

The ultimate power gaming party, been there done that, took all the fun out of the game, easy as hell, until I reached Heart of Fury mode, where I suddenly got my *ss handed to me on a platinum plate. I took the plate and never touched the game since...

Yeah, I wouldn't advise building a carbon copy of the UPP, but it does have some good ideas on it.

Live by the sword...get toasted by a well prepared Sorcerer. :D

In pen and paper, wizards have one big advantage. It's metamagic feats.
As an example maximise damage is a nice feat. Just think about a maximised Habid Horid Wilting.

-BUT REMEMBER THAT SORCERERS USE CHARISMA FOR SPELLCASTING AND SPELL LEVELS!!!!!!!

CHARISMA!!!!!!

CHARISMA!!!!!!

Doh! I went all the way to 12th lvl with my Dark elf sorcerer before I actually bothered learning the rules. Or finding out why those cooooool new spells were all greyed out. Now he can't do much without Eagle's splendor...Stupid, eh?!?!!!

Charisma!

Sorcerers and paladins make excellent party leaders due to the charisma. Since charisma is a sorcerers main statistic he gets an xp bonus for charisma, not intelligence. 3rd ed rules, remember?
Face it, he is flawless. He has no downsides. He is the uberman. The best spell-showerer ever. When you dual a 6th level monk into sorcerer, he gets really brutal.

Well, I have played thru to about half way through the six chapter and have a sorcerer and at this point I am wishing to go that I had a wizard instead. I just finished a long tough fight where if I had just had a "lower magiic resistance" spell it would have made a big difference, but I am stuck with what I've got.
