@ krunchyfrogg: No, Orrick doesn't care. You can outright tell him you killed Weenog, with no consequence. And yes, the scroll is on his corpse. If it makes you feel any better, his alignment is evil (I learned this from a Detect Evil spell.)

@ Zaleukos: I believe that fireball is found in DE1, maybe on the snake statue. Don't give up on your bard. While just okay in IWD, I always took one just for their Lore skill. If you have HOW, then your bard will be one of the greatest boons in your party at about level 11.
Just an afterthought: Once you reach SH, reload before the third level of the cleric tower until you find some elven chainmail (assuming you didn't get any from Kaylessa.)

Mirror Image can be a lifesaver for the bard and his weak HP if you are ambushed or otherwise caught out of position. Definitely learn it, as there's plenty of copies to go around.

I can confirm that the Fireball scroll is on the snake statute on the first level of Dragon's Eye. Shame there's no way to get it before the "boss fight" on DE lvl 1.

Quick note, even if you are injured after the boss fight, go down the south passage toward the exit until the little girl gives you XP. If you rest, she disappears.
