When I played solo I chose to break the mirror and then play 'hide and seek' with the weaker critters that appear - only one for me on my own. Once all the bad guys are dead then you're done. For my party of six I chose to go head to head with the Demonknight. As I said in a previous posting, his magic resistance isn't perfect, so if you pound him with ranged weapons, while trying to catch him out with a stun or hold spell, you should be able to finish him off. There is plenty of good advice to be found in the archives - provided the search facility is working.

Just a random question. Does anyone know if you can change you're PC's class when importing to BG2? For example I have a paladin. Would I be able to apply the Cavalier kit when I import him or is that somehow prevented or not permited?
P.S. I'm talking WITHOUT a character editor would this be possible. I don't have on and I don't plan on having one. I only use in game cheats when I use any at all. |
If you have a Paladin, then yes, you are allowed to make him a Cavalier in BG2, because the Cavalier is a Paladin kit. You may NOT, however, change to a different class entirely, such as Ranger, or choose a kit of a class other than Paladin. I believe that if you were a Specialist Mage in BG1, you have the option to choose a different Specialty in BG2.
