Exactly. Whoever starts casting the spell first should get the benefits of said spell first IMO. It'd hardly be fair if an enemy mage started casting time stop a second or two before me and then I go and get one out before he finishes!

Anyway all things aside the robe of Vecna still doesn't have the cool hood effect on your character model that you get from the Archmagi robes...

Only takes off 4 ticks of the time clock, so if they start, say, 5 ticks before you do, they still get theirs first. *Or if you gave the same caster the Amulet of Power, 5 ticks total. 10 ticks per round, so spells with a casting time of 10 take an entire round to cast.* Anyways, with a certain mod installed *AhemRefinementsAhem* you can take an HLA which shaves off casting time, and take it multiple times too. Now there's unbalanced.

Well, my Swashbuckler->Mage doesn't get the nifty look from advanced mage robes :(

(That, and my Vecna'd mage only has 1 time stop anyways. Now my sorceror, has about 5 castings before resting. That is supreme overkill, even without being able to take advantage of the Vecna robe)
