I think 10% would be acceptable. 10% means you roughly Cause Critical Wounds once in a GWW.

its sounds like a good item but whats its background? who made and that stuff. if your gonna make an item, put some effort into the actual description, rather than just putting another one of those "my sword does more damage than your sword" weapons. i can't remmember who said this to me but, if your gonna make a powerful item, give it a reason to be powerful. when i still made items for BG2 i used to write essays about the items, then cut them down becuase they wouldn't fit (yeah yeah, i know, i need life). this isn't a rant, its just a suggestion [img]smile.gif[/img] .

I wouldnt use it on the basis of it being +3 which means it won't hit stronger characters and just it having the chance no matter what the chance to cast cause .... wounds, there are much better swords out their already but as a personal sword it sounds cool.

Why only usable by evil characters?
The CN never get anything cool.
Ought to be at least + 4.

Well, as 5% of hits are going to be criticals anyway, I don't really see too many issues with this weapon at 15-20% criticals.

It's for evil characters only and critical damage on a bastard sword isn't particularily incredible anyhow [img]smile.gif[/img]

sounds pretty good, if you lower the % it's not overpowered.

I think if i were making it i'd lower the % to 10% then add a 20% chance 1-4 bleed damage 1 damage per round(it is the Wound weaver) but i'm not making it(i've really got to learn how to make weapons)

Sounds like a nasty weapon :D .

Why not have the chance of Cause Critical Wounds 50%, but allow a saving throw to bypass the extra damage completely? This would generally make it no more overpowered than the extra poison damage provided by the Ravager...

Yeah that sound good and the 20% bleed would be cool.
