Everything I know about BG2 spells, did not just come from the manual, although it was a good source of information.

It also came from ingame experience and the input of other veterans.

additionally you are not allowed to multiclass from one class in a group to another, ie cleric to druid (priest group), or fighter to ranger/paladin (warrior group), etc etc.
