If I am fighting level-draining monsters, I can always change weapons. ;) The Quickweapon slots are there for a reason. ;)

Cavaliers, Rangers, Clerics and Mages can wear the Amulet of Power anyway. ;)

That has always bothered me... I had hoped for some neat "Some Assembly Required" shields in ToB, but alas only weapons and items of apparel...

A shield with some abilities as well as savingsthrows/resistances would have been quite a nice piece to go with the weapons available... :(
