3 fireball
4 stone skin
5 breach
6 pierce magic
7 mors sword
8 wilting
9 pw kill
10 d. breath
cleric + druid
1 entangle
2 doom, holy might
3 dispel magic
4 cure serious. lesser restoration
5 mass cure + insect swarm
6 summon fire elemental + bolt o'glory
7 sunray. creeping doom.

You know, few or none of these lists of mage spells include the ones that I like the most. In no particular order-

* HORROR
- surprisingly effective against a group of monsters. You can smash up an attack real real good.

* SLOW
- devastating in combat. Time wins battles.

* GLITTERDUST
- It parks up the bad guys. They can't see you. So they stand still. Also good for those mages who go invisible!

* HASTE
- Without Haste, where would we be? Late, that's where. Try it on your archers!

* EMOTION
- Kiss of the Dementor, depression overcomes the will to live. Try it if you haven't used it. It breaks up attacks wonderfully on low level parties.

* MASS INVISIBILITY, IMPROVED INVIS.
- Great sneaksman's spells. Did you know that invisible fighters get a higher THAC0 for their first free melee shot? Even if they're NOT thieves.

With all those status spells don't you like Greater Malison? The reason we don't have those spells listed is because the enemy is constantly saving versus their effects.
