Irenicus killed a clone of Dynaheir in front of Minsc. The real Dynaheir was kept in stasis( Otiluke's Resilent Sphere, Maze, or Imprisonment, take your pick) and CHARNAME( and Minsc) was blissfully unaware of this.
The Shadow Thieves( or the Cowled Wizards) discovered her while excavating the ruins of Jon Irenicus' laboratory, and viola... Dynaheir is up and hopping. Things that support this. ..) We already know that Jon Irenicus has the ability to clone people. ..) Putting someone in stasis mode is no sweat for a Mage of JI's calibre. ..) You never actually had the time to turn over every nook and cranny of JI's Lab( especially since some parts are caved in). And yes... you can do it for Khalid too. Oh the potential conflicts! "Ja.. Ja... Jaheira! You and him? WHY?!" Cheers. [ 06-05-2006, 01:59 AM: Message edited by: Dundee Slaytern ] |
Along the same lines of thought (as this is related all to a NeverWinter Nights project I am working on), does anyone have an idea as to when Baldur's Gate II took place in relation to the original NeverWinter Nights? All the cities still exist, but inside of Faerun, some cities have been around for close to a millenium from time of origin. (In the real world, similar situations have happened. Look at Athens and Rome for example.) So in order for this to world within a "realistic" time frame, I have to know roughly when this all went down. Of course, I could simply just state alternative universe rules and run with that, but I am hoping they took place close to the same time. If they didn't, then I'll have to find ways around that as well.

Do you know what year Neverwinter Nights takes place in? If it isn't specified, I would make an educated guess based on the Faerunian timeline and say it's a few years after the events of the BG series. All of the characters should still be alive and I don't foresee it being a problem.

I managed to come with a plausible story (as far as I could see) to have Dynaheir come back into the NeverWinter Nights era. I had her brought back via Ilmater and Mystra. I did have parts of her original strengths removed and something else to fill the "hole in her soul." So now she shouldn't actually remember any of the events of Baldur's Gate I, but still serves the Coucil of Witches in Rasheman. I am not sure if I mentioned if she does remember Minsc or not. That would make for something interesting if I was the one programming this all. It's been sent off to the person in charge though, so they'll let me know if I have to rework the little tale. (only two paragraphs long.) I also brought back Branwen and Alora from the Baldur's Gate I - even though I never cleared the game and don't know if they were supposed to have survived the first part of the story. Now, for the Baldur's Gate II characters. I figure that may take me a few weeks if I am patient enough and just do one each day. (just doing the female characters... and MINSC!!!)
story as I had it... Quote:
