Its notjustthey they are evil, both sets include murder. Some actions, depending on exact alignment could be a case of ends justifying means, but murder means a good PC would be hard-pressed to justfy his actions.

Yes. If you have higher Lore, more chances you have to ID something.

No, it's extreamly clever game design..

BTW, you don't have to to murder anyone to compleat the game, totaly optional.. Now killing, lots and lots of killing yes..

You might not like having to pick an evil to support, and that's the whole point, a good charactor would feel the same way, but would have to get over it to recuse their sibbling (well she's not realy, but she did grow up with ya)

I'd have to agree. Plus, it is about who the lesser evil is. I think a good character would pick the Shadow Thieves over a sect of Soulless Blood Sucking Vampires anyday.

While a plausible explanation, I think it's much more a storytelling issue than anything else. The choice to make a decision between following one evil organisation and another one is, in my eyes, a brilliant way of forcing roleplaying into the player of the game.

I loved the idea of having to go through evil to get what you need. I also thought it was very clever.

Sometimes, the only way to get what you want is to walk the path of evil

I was worried about going through with it because as soon as I accepted the quest from Edwin, Yoshimo and somebody else started yelping about 'doing evil things..blah, blah, blah'.

To Adamo: Working for Renal Bloodscalp (and, through him, Mae'Var and Edwin) has precisely nothing to do with the actual Main Plot. Do the quests, don't do the quests, your choice.
