I know, but that's not what he said ^_^

Still, I'd prefer being able to use swords...something with a blade, anyway. Hammers and flails aren't that fun.

Well, you should have stated that you wanted the best possible defense for a F/M-type character that uses blades. ;) This will take some pondering. Be back later.

Pyrenk 03-28-2004 10:08 PM

Not necessarily a F/M type, just anything with a blade and prettiness. Y'know, none of the "Me crush you! Crush you to goo!" stuff. Plain fighting is boring.

Hehe... have you ever considered... the Blade? ;)

Pyrenk 03-29-2004 07:04 PM

How did I not see that one coming :D

I have. I'm asking for too much, I want something like a Barbarian, but with grace and magic. Heheh, forget I ever said anything ^_^

You want an elven Bladesinger! I'm sure there's a mod/kit out there... I haven't used any of those, so I can't help you there. But what you want screams Bladesinger.

Then just make the infamous Kensai->Mage. Dual him/her in level 21.

Pyrenk 03-30-2004 02:51 PM

But that's boring.

Ah, I'll change it. Druid, single, dual, or multi-class. As they get 30% elemental resistance and immunity to poison (ToB), they have a head start.

If you F/D is your choice. He gets nice summonings and Fighter HLA`s. But still a R/C gets all the priests spells unlike F/D. They (F/D`s) can only use Clubs and Spears IIRC but that shouldn`t be a problem. Fulcrum +4 (Item Upgrade) gives you Grandmastery in Clubs.

Pyrenk 03-30-2004 03:42 PM

I don't really like the Fulcrum. Clubs, for that matter. They're so...barbaric ^_^ (Idea, Barbarian with grandmastery in clubs, 3 intelligence, 3 wisdom, 3 charisma, 18 str...etc.)

The Impaler and Ixil's Nail (or is the spear the Spike, when combined?) are two of my favorite items in the game. They're quite powerful, and quite fun. The F/D can also use scimitars, by the way, and I love them. R/C only has Flail, Morning Star, Hammer, and so on (I know, Crom, the FoA, and the rest, but I don't like blunt weapons, if you can't tell). Anyway, I'd like to know the most defense possible for both the F/D and the F->D. If a single class Druid can have more than either, tell me that one.
