... IMO, you really should've gone with one at least in Short Bow. And jack up 2 into Two-Weapon Fighting, and 1 into Katanas. Add in another one into TWF ASAP. I just SK'ed a couple of points from Darts and Crossbows into Two-Weapon Fighting because I just installed the Rebalancing Mod. I never used either one of them, so I think that I'm not cheating too much.

IIRC, they get one every 4 levels. Dunno about that, however.

Oh and if you want to be really powerful?

Assasain Cleric is one of the most powerful Dual-Classes too.

I see what you mean now (I miss mostly everything). I've got like, 17 thac0 or something, although it'll get much lower later on. But anyway, poison weapon seems to counter the need to hit. When I do hit, I can keep missing and still do damage, so it's all good by my standards :D

Assassin, remember this trivial. ;) It may prove most amusing for you.

All attacks made during a Time Stop hits.

Assassin 02-14-2004 10:10 PM

Yes? Unless I'm Hasted and Mislead'ed, and backstab the poor bastard every round, it really won't matter much. Of course, that would prove most amusing, that's true...

My Energy Blades will hit almost all of the time anyways, at least that's what I expect. Ditto with MMM. I'm going with using Time Stop off of scrolls for the Wraith of Wrath, then poisoning EB and poison-locking the Wrath in a flurry of 20 Blades. Then, I'll do the same with my other clones to the other Incarnations of Irenicus.

Couple of questions: Which non-trivial monsters in SoA or ToB are immune to Poison? Does poison act like a spell (ie: Will Kangaxx the Demi-Lich ignore it?)?

Dundee Slaytern 02-14-2004 10:43 PM

Kangaxx is Undead. All Undead ignore Poison.

Kangaxx is actually wearing the Ring of Gaxx judging from the fact at the rate which he regenerates his HP. So he should be unharmed by the poison.
If you have the mod (Ascension?) that creates the ritual at WK, then I'm sure the reptile creatures there are immune to poison.
A non-trivial creature immune to poison should be something like a spider. I'm sure they're immune to poison.

I used it as an example. -_-;; For example, will Globe of Invulnerability stop it?

Lord 02-15-2004 01:50 PM

Considering that I have ToB, can I get my Assassin's THAC0 low enough so that he doesn't need to dual class to a fighter? I've got lvl 50 mod installed, so I can get him pretty far...

wally p 02-15-2004 04:12 PM

Probably, Lord--since you can get +str equipment easily (and hence, boost your thac0) and don't forget that attacking from shadows gives large bonuses to hit, though this doesn't work in every situation.

For the rare circumstances, you might want to keep scrolls of Tenser's Transformation to help out

Xen 02-15-2004 04:14 PM

I have an Assasain somewhere in ToB... at Sendai to be precise and I can look at his THACO if you wish.
