so ur team was cooked what were they like raw medium and well done

It's not the items, it's probably just the targettng AI having a preference.

The AI could be looking for hit point, AC or class. Is that the normal Firkraag, or the improved one?

does Yoshimo have the lowest fire resistance? i think it might be possible for Firkraag to have a script making him breathe on the character with the lowest fire resistance...just an idea

Improved Firkraag. And Raistlin Majere, he didn't have the lowest fire resistance in the group.

Edit: He doesn't have the lowest HP in my party; there are 2 more members of my party that have less HP than him. He doesn't have the lowest AC either. he had either -2 or -3, and Aerie had either 1 or 0 at that time.

Actually, I have this happen before, only in my experience he aimed for Viconia. I'm not too sure as how to counter it or get around it, but I think it has something to do with where the Pc's are placed in the group formation. Try moving Yoshimo's portrait.

If that doesn't work, maybe it's where the character is. You said that Yoshimo was at the stairs but Firkragg still aimed for him, maybe it's because even though he's so far away, he's still on the same side in each battle. Try having him start the battle behind Firkragg.

Well, I'm far past this battle by now, but I do have a save from right before I started the fight. I'll try it out to see what happens soon

It's definately the AI, he aims for people for some reason. With me, it was Imoen the first time.

I got Yoshi's fire resistance up using a ring (40% fire resistance, I think), but he still was killed. So I used control+r to ressurect Yoshi, and he was killed just seconds after again by Firkraag's dragon breath!

perhaps he aims for people because the people are trying to kill him [img]tongue.gif[/img]
