Anyhow, said I'd get abck to you, and I have. True_Moose, your plan worked. I caught it unawares and stormed the building.... Eeh, sorry. I did like you said Moose, and you'll never guess: it worked! Now: The sola mod... hmm, maybe not... Is there a CLUA to make sola? Cheers again guys. I'm happy now. :D |
As I said, BG has a bug with the uninstall.
You can CLUA sola the same as any other creature, but and take him into your party with ctrl-Q (I think), but it wont be anything like the Sola mod is. If youve installed the latest ToB patch and the bladurdash fixpacks, the mod should be safe enough to install. I've never seen it screw up majorly on a clean install twice consecutively. |

andrewas, i noticed how you mentioned the registry keys and that each installed program has its own key written in the registry. But sometimes when i can't uninstall properly, even when i searched and deleted all the related keys in the registry, i still do not get prompt to install the program when i inserted the CD into the disk drive, what gives?
EDIT: By "can't uninstall properly", i meant that the uninstall command launches normally, but after it has uninstalled itself, all program files remained. This forced me into deleting all the files right off the hard drive. [ 07-07-2003, 12:47 PM: Message edited by: theholyavenger ] |
Not all keys are easy to find. Try searching for the developers or publishers name. One of my major grievances with the registry is that there are a whole load of keys that are identified by alphanumeric gibberish, some games might use some of those and if thats the case you are out of luck.
Sometimes you can run the setup program directly, but not all games allow this. |
