Bronze dragons are inquisitive and fond of humans and demi-humans. They enjoy polymorphing into small, friendly animals so they can unobtrusively observe humans and demi-humans, especially adventurers. Bronze dragons thrive on simple challenges such as riddles and harmless contests. They are fascinated by warfare and will eagerly join an army if the cause is just and the pay is good. Straight from the monstrous manual! |
Would it be possible to make Boo as something like mage's familiar? I know only protagonist can have familiar via spell, but would it be possible to do it? He (She? Is Boo male or female hamster? Or perhaps both? ) would be a perfect scout with some special abilities, let's just say something like Blindness spell (we all know why..).

we will see it in Bg3:P:P. Perhaps boo becomce the great evil. Hope not ofcourse:d

On topic: I think Boo should be modded to be a summoning object, usuable once per day, to summon an UNminiature giant space hamster |
O Yeah! That'd be sweet! P.S. Gaea Space Hamsters appear in Dragon Quest Games..any relation? What do you think?
|
I would definitely say give Boo a blindness attack since one of Minsc's war cries has always been "Go for the eyes, Boo!".
Another thing - since he eats so much crackers, maybe a gas attack as well? |
What? He eats crackers? Ah well, you can't learn everything about a game like this, even if you spend six hours a day on it for a week... in the words of the Hard-Rockers that Neo meets, maybe I need to unplug.

Ridiculous!
Space Hamsters are not parasitic aliens. Anyone who knows their D&D lore, more specifically Spelljammer lore, knows that the Giant Space hamster is a rather innocious creature, though dangerous when provoked. Space hamsters are bred by spacefaring gnomes who use them to drive their spaceships by ways of giant running wheels. The rigors of space have made this breed especially prone to mutations and it is rare to see a completely normal giant space hamster. Mutations can include anything from extra limbs and heads, tentacles, armored carapace, poisonous spines or even wings. It could be perfectly plausible that Boo's mutation just made him incredibly tiny (making him indestinguishable from a normal hamster). |
I think the only way to use Boo and keep it reasonably within the game would be to make him attack enemies that attack Minsc for say 1 point of damage, remember Minsc does not let Boo out of his sight...
