thats a pretty handy chart, thanks vedran!

It is possible to turn a demi-lich. think about it, TU is a channeling process between the cleric/paladin and his/her diety. Once the cleric/palidan becomes stronger and reaches high levels, the connection with their diety becomes stronger (TU lvl goes up). Even a demi lich cannot take a blast from the gods if it is strong enough. So if the cleric is high enough, and is turning undead with the power of his/her diety, then any undead can fall ;)

Er... my Paladin had a level 32 TU, and Greater Mummies did not even feel a thing. I ran circles around them, and while the Skeleton Warrior companions all eventually crumbled to the floor, the Greater Mummies were not affected in any way.

Did you personally conduct a test to verify all these numbers, or are they just an estimate?

ADD] Bone Golems are NOT Undead.

The possible reason is that there are multiple CRE files for the same creature (though there are only two for Greater Mummy). The one I tested with is MUMGRE01. Other than that, I cannot explain it.
(Goes to test...)

Ah, yes, the Bone Golem. I found it weird that it doesn't react even to supreme levels of Turn Undead. Then I loaded Near Infinity and found out that it is actualy "gianthumanoid", not "undead". That's why it has XXes in the table, I intended to remove it but forgot.

And yes, the whole table is the product of my testing. It was much typing into the console...

Dundee, do you have any mod that could change the greater mummies? I checked them again (both MUMGRE01 and RIFTCR03) and my former value is correct.

Interesting. I redid the test with liches, and got a bit different results. Can anyone enlighten me?
Is there any possible modifier that alters these values? A patch? A mod? Game difficulty? Perhaps I am mistaking with my test? I took Anomen and cast Prot from Undead upon him. Then I kept spawning liches and gradually raising his level until there was an effect.

Any help is welcome.

Hmmmm.. I feel so stupid. I know what a lich is etc. But what are the definitions of Kangaxx and Demi-Lichs? Deril-Lichs? Shade Lichs?

Kangaxx is a really strong lich. he is the demi-lich. the Shade Lich is a old mage, along with the Elemental Lich, who killed Kangaxx for fear he would take over the world. they spread out his body, and turned themselves into liches (who are immortal) to protect his body so no one could ressurect him. Each of them gaurds part of his body. The Demi-Lich is the ultimate lich form, it is bassicaly a floating skull with a special ability, trap the soul. its like a imprisonment but he shoots it out.

Dundee Slaytern 05-02-2003 11:24 PM

? At that time, I had no mod which affected the Greater Mummies.

Vedran 05-03-2003 04:12 AM

Deril is one lich's name.

Dundee, could you test it now?
Could Improved Undead part of the Tactics mod do that. I believe you when you say you didn't have a mod, just wondering.

Dundee Slaytern 05-03-2003 05:17 AM

I do not have my CD. I lent it to a friend so that he could play SoA-ToB.

Dundee and Vedran,

Perhaps there is a cap to a Paladin's TU level? Vedran did his test with a cleric, so perhaps the inability of Dundee's pally to affect greater mummies was due to some max level for paladins.

Also Dundee, how many rounds was your Paladin using the turn undead ability, the ability only checks for success once per round, so it could take awhile for it to kick in.

Also a question for both of you; were you reaching high levels using ToB only, or did you have one of the XP cap removers (maybe some of them don't properly manage the TU level?)
