In fact, if the mage was dualled at level two, they wouldn't lose all that many HP, because they can then cast Find Familiar for more.

ABout how long will it take me to reach 13 levels of my mage class if I dual from a fighter at level 13?

Trau - If you dual from a fighter to a mage at 13, kick all of your party. Then learn all of the spells you have on scrolls (1000 EXP per spell level). Simply erase all of the spells you have duplicates of, then relearn them. Repeat until you run out of spare scrolls. Doing this will get you up to approximately L12-14 as a mage, depending on how many scrolls you have kept back. Then just collect your party again and kick some ass :D EDIT: To answer your question Trau, about 10 minutes :D [ 04-01-2003, 09:12 PM: Message edited by: Dace De'Briago ] |

When to dual.
1. SoA only. It's a gigantic nonsense to dual at level 13 - 15. Too late! Don't forget that you will play a pure new class until you reach level higher than your level of the original class. If you dual at level 13, you will need to reach level 14 in the new class to become a dual class character. In the meantime, the game will be over. The "learn the spells alone" trick cannot save you. A future fighter/MAGE should dual at level 9 is SoA. 2. ToB. A future fighter/MAGE should dual at level 13. There is enough XPs in ToB so that you can reach level 14 soon and play the game as a dual class fighter/MAGE. |
