a spell button is greyed out until a spell is memorized. thats why sometimes even a mages spell button is greyed out, because there never were/arent any more spells memorized.

It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! It is not the spell button, or the fact that he wears armor. It is in his priest "book" where you can change which spells he memorises from the ones he knows.
