As I've said before, the romances have timers on when the dialogue goes off. I've had it happen in dungeons and in battles, just the way it's set up I guess.

Quite simply, my magic-less party was a NG Assassin and Minsc. Kind of strange, but surprisingly efficient. I completed ToB with them. This was pretty much the months directly after the release of ToB, so I had no mods etc.
It was very fun, and we levelled very fast. I realise Minsc has priest spells, but I never used them.

BTW, it's very difficult to get a party of NPCs with no magic, which is why I only used Minsc. He and Keldorn were too alike for my tastes, and Minsc is very interesting.

Of course Minsc is interesting, he has Boo! :D

Although you would want to create a magic-free party, IMHO the fact that he can use magic is enough for me; there are chars that are totally magic free.

the description makes it sound like it was in elven hands, perhaps intact perhaps in pieces. was stolen, if intact proably taken apart to make it easier to sneak out. whoever stole it thought it'd be fun to take a trip to the underdark. He discover it wasn't and got his brain sucked out or some such. the pieces got kicked around the underdark. the gem showed up in ust natha, and slave grabbed before his escape. He was captured after escaping and sold back in to slavery(tough luck for this guy) and Irenicus bought him and found the gem.

Or how about an anti-magic party?

I'm trying to steer away from defensive as well as offensive magic. Not being able to handle what the enemy throws at the party is stupid, hence the inclusion of Keldorn and his inquisitor kit and the wizard slayer. Makes me wonder how far this party can get just by chugging potions and visiting temples? (How many people actually USE the temples in Athkatla? Raise your hands. ;) )

I rarely use temples .. they take a lot of time. I can stand wasting money, so I always calculate what healing spells to buy in order to get the best deal.
Basically that means buying the cheapest heal-spell (50 gp IIRC) since that one has the best price/hp ratio. Except if the (HP to be regained) / (HP regained per 50 gp Healing spell) > cost of -heal- spell -->( restore entire health)

Come on daan! Go blow all of your money on a sprending spree! [img]graemlins/laugh2.gif[/img] I find it hard to believe that a person can go through the whole game without magic... from a cleric I mean. You need a party medic when you fight Irenicus or Yaga-Shura but I know people can go without wizards.
