BINGO! The best way to do this was to split them up, trap them in different rooms, and then exit to the second level, and then save. The game won't let you save while a creature has you targetted, but leaving and then returning to the area resets their attack status. Although the demon remained when I did it...

Doesn't the Dungeon-Begone mod alter al sort of stuff in the game (make the story go faster and alters surtain dialogs you have with NPC's)

IIRC, some people find it ''cheating'' using the Dungeon-Begone mod, because it makes some Quests Easier and quicker to deal with...

Sir Goulum you should probaly read the Readme file of Dungeon-Begone before you install it because it is not only made to let you skip the 'Playground' but also alters surtain things in the story and alters some of the dialogs.

Dungeon-Be-Gone alters nothing. It only allows you to skip Chateau Irenicus -- no more, no less. Yes, it IS cheating, but that does not mean it's a bad thing. ;)

I quote from the Forgottenwars/dbg site:

Take Note:

- This MOD is rather silly, and also skips all the story elements and such just to get you to the end faster. This is aimed for those who have played the game so many times that Irenicus' dungeon has become more painful than a root canal, and less interesting than a Valygar coffee mug. If silliness and/or 'cheating' offends you, then looks like you'll just be wresting long bows from goblins for a while.

This is what I mean... It says it does alter things in the game just to make it faster and skips surtain parts in the game.

The "skipping story elements" comment refers to the fact that by skipping the first dungeon, you practically miss the entire game's prologue. However, if it's already your Nth through the game, you won't miss anything. ;) The comment is there mostly to let newbies and purists know that this Mod is not for them.

Damn! And I was just about to download Tactics for the first time, too. What bugs does "Ilyich on Patrol" cause?

I don't know if this is what they are refering to, but when I played I found that members of Ilyich's party would get stuck somewhere, meaning that only one or two of them would patrol, making them easy to kill, and the others (including the golem, and the demon) would sit around bumping into each other in one of the halls.
