First game was about 214 in-game days.. Later games were faster, I can tell you that..

About 50-60 and 70-80 with ToB. Im currently playing a solo sorcerer and she used 15 days to get out of Irenicus Dungeon so I guess she has a quite long journey in front of her...

I'm currently at around 22 days and doing chap3... Didn't do all the chap2 quests though.

that seems like quite a bit of time for a sorceror getting out of irenicus' dungeon...Did u by any chance forget about summons? :S when i played solo sorc it only took me about 3-4 :D

Yeah fatigue is pretty annoying. It works in more subtle ways too, which many people don't notice. As you become fatigued, your chance of scoring a critical miss increases, so even if you have a bitchin' THAC0 that can overcome the THAC0 penalties associated with fatigue, your swings are forced to miss. There is also an "anti-KAI" ability that starts to kick in, where each successful attack deals minimum damage!

As for game days for me, I tend to do all the quests too, including completing the stronghold quests. This can be mighty annoying if you're a fighter-type, since I usually end up spending weeks on end in the keep waiting for the next quest!!

I think 60-80 game days is a fair average to get to the end of hell, although my personal best was 30-something days, where I stormed through only doing the quests that were absolutely necessary.

My worst: 250 Days
My best: 70 Days

each time you rest two shadow thieves and some dogs will spawn. They go invincible and usually carry some annoying wands like, wand of paralyzation, or wand of fear etc. + Theres also a few shadow thieves running around in there. And the improved Ilyich..argh. Cast skulltraps, rest, cast more skulltraps, rest, cast more skulltraps, rest. Each time you rest you also have to battle the darn shadow thieves. And each time I rest wounded, I spend a day or two to recover :( . Well I finally got out of that hellhole and Im in Darnise Keep kicking some spirit trolls arse, which also is a pain in the ass. Kill two or tree trolls. Rest to get sunfire rememorized. Kill another two or three, do the same over again. Oh man... Cant wait till Abi Dhalzim...

</font>
Just a tip for your next run through Imp Ilyich. You don't have to fight the thieves, especially not if you're a sorcerer. A simple casting of Invisibility after resting in an isolated room should take care of them with minimum effort ;)

Dundee Slaytern 02-21-2003 12:13 PM

Alternatively, turn off the "Rest Until Fully-Healed" option and start abusing the mod. Kill an initial batch ASAP and grab their Potion(s) of Invisibility. Drink one and sleep. When you wake up, you are still invisible, and they cannot see you but you know where they are.

This is the time to casually cast a Skull Trap at their location.

Rinse and repeat. Stockpile a HOARD of Potions of Invisibility, kill hundreds of thieves if necessary or until you can carry no more. Hell, just kill them for the XP if you want to.

Oooo... did I mention that you can use theirs Wands too? As a Sorcerer, you most probably picked Identify as one of your spells. Use the Wands liberally or stockpile them too!

Nothing says cheese like lugging around more than 50 Potions of Invisibility.
