Ah, yes, The Cloak. That too.

Now for Out of Character Knowledge, that one is really a tricky one to stay away from, since there's mostly very little difference between what your party could know, if you made them go out of their way to explore everything very thoroughly, and what you know. In the end, it all boils down to "Can I really, for this sxiteenth time through the game, be bothered to go in with my invisible thief and take a sneak peek at the enemy party, just so my party can discover what I have known since the first time I played through this game months ago?". For me, the answer is no
Oh, of course - when playing without OOC knowledge, i stay away from scouting. Helps the suspension of disbelief. ;) Besides, entering fights unbuffed is quite fun with a Mage heavy party.

The main thing about playing without OOC knowledge, however, is to play without knowing the (usually linear) order of events for the quests. Who will betray you, who to believe, where to go, etcetera. For example - i usually clear the Guarded Compund ASAP. This is a pure abuse of out of character knowledge. Why on earth would you go there otherwise? You, as the PC, probably have more pressing issues to resolve, right? ;) It's fun - you should try it.

I too always make Minsc use Flails. Ever since my first game. I mean come on... just think about it. ;)

What about the party of insanity?

A Wizard Slayer->Mage
Wild Mage
Jester
Jan Jansen
Minsc
Anomen( fail his test)

Or the "My Daddy's Dead" Party:
the PC
Imoen
Nalia
Valygar
Jaheira
Anomen
(You know, this would have made a good trivia question.....)

Good idea, but Jan Jansen is not really insane.

The crazy lamb obsessed assasin... she'd make a nice addition to that party. Plus I'm sure the cookbook she carries would make for better meals than Jan's silly turnips or radishes or whatever he grows... He'd be better suited with a Forest Gump mod character. (barbecue turnips, turnip gumbo, turnip-kabobs, turnip omlettes, turnip hubcaps, turnip flavored water... )

Seriously tho, check out that Silver Star mod, or if I'm getting her name wrong, let a fella know.

How many times did you duct tape him back together :D ;)
