the guy at the end of the umar hills quest, shadow lord or something along those lines. Huge build-up, infinete shadows and wolves, he commands a dragon! and then get to him and he's a wuss. takes like 30 secs to beat.

Any creature that drains levels or attributes. Heck, any bloody enemy with special attacks gets my vote. Otuygh's are also very annoying for their slowing with each hit.
|
Mephits! By far!
I hate them so much - I have no idea why, Behloders and Mind Flayers are much more annoying - but there's something about them... ARGH! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...ons/icon17.gif [ Bonus point to you, Drewal, for mentioning them. ] |
Mine would be beholders without the cloak of cheese and shield of balduran bloodly annoying! And Sir Exxon I can imagine what it must be like soloing a fighter in a mind flayer lair not nice...
|
In my book, a close second would be defeating improved Bodhi on hard difficulty as a solo necromancer, then walking out of the vampire lair, into the central portion of the tombs, where the spider lair is, and being killed by a sword spider.
Had used every single offensive spell and summons at my disposal and hadn't rested yet; being so powerful made Lysander the Necromancer a little arrogant, and a few quick thrusts with the sharp hairy legs and the son of the lord of murder is dead. Amusing, yes; annoying? Very. |
The most annoying foe?
Well, that would have to have been my Blade. He was armed with Celery Fury and the Flail of Ages at the moment, and, got dominated by a Mage. Did I mention he had JUST STARTED an offensive spin? Minsc fell first. First hit scored critical with about 70 or 80 damage. Then the flail tagged him, then the Celery Fury. Dead Ranger. Then he turned on his sweetie Jaheira. She died in about as much time as it took to blink an eye. I was recovering from shock at about this time. Keldorn I had trying to fire up a dispel magic to get rid of the domination. He was already badly wounded. He did not get the spell off in time. BAM! Dead old guy. Anomen died next. It was over all to quickly, he was in the middle of casting a cure critical wounds spell. Badly injured he was. Then he was terminally injured when the Blade just ripped him to ribbons. Poor Yoshimo lost morale on the first hit. He tried, in vain, to run away. Ever seen how fast a Blade moves in an offensive spin? Yoshi got slowed by the flail, then, it was over pretty quick. With a sigh, I cursed my lethal Blade and hit reload. |
Haaahaaahaaaahaaa
That is awesome - a classic tale. Mayhap I should try a blade as my next pc. |
mind flayers here....
|
LOL, Butterfingers. I bet you never thought your blade could be so effective. Classic.
|
My Blade was imported from BG1 with 19/19/16/15/15/19 stats.
I know just how bloody effective he can be. He killed Firkragg in normal difficulty in THREE hits. Just walked up and went gonzo. Other party members are only around to look good, and, occasionally mop up a slight mess that the Blade might miss. He slices, he dices, and, has made mincemeat out of his fellow party members on more then one occasion. Thank goodness for the Equilizer. They cheered when he could no longer be dominated. Nothing, and, I mean nothing could stand before him for longer then 2 or 3 rounds. No doubt, he is THE child of murder. |
