<font color="gold">Turgon opened his eyes, and yawned. He was glad he got some rest. However how short it was, he felt refreshed.
Suddenly, he remembered his dream. It had to be the weirdest dream he had ever had. He remembered it all, which was very unnormal for him. "I wonder what it was all about," he thought. Even though he remembered it, he couldn't quite understand it.

Yawning again, he looked over against the fountain. He was appearently the third to wake up, as both Skye and Pathris sat around it. Following their example, he stood up, and paced over to the fountain as well. He took some water in his hands, and rubbed it in his face. "Cold water in the face is always the best way to wake up," he thought. He also wanted to drink some, but he thought it'd be best to look how either Skye or Pathris would react on it first. "I don't think I'm quite that desperate, drinking this water without some guarantee that it is somewhat clean." He smiled at his thoughts.

Turgon looked at his two awake 'companions'. After a long silence, he started talking.
"Wel, should we get going soon? My guts tells me that there are still mant more enemies lurking around, plus that I'd really like to smell some fresh air again. The sooner the better."
Looking over at Lurin, he continued. "Lurins damage were bad, but I think we should wake him up now anyway. He should be somewhat refreshed by now as well. Speaking of, how's the leg, Pathris? I assume you're fit enough for a long day travel?"
Saying the last words, Turgon threw a little rock he found at Lurin, hoping it'd be enough to wake the Elf.</font>

<font color="white"> lurin awoke with a start, and sat up. he looked at his arm which seemed to be visably healing now that he had rested for a while. he took off the bandage, the bleeding had stoped and his arm was healing quickly, his injury had nearly completly gone. he yawned, and stood up. he smiled at Turgon as he walked towards the fountain."i was enjoying my sleep" he said jokingly. he looked at the dragon and smiled. he also looked over at Pathris whilst he walked over to the fountain. "ive been thinking"he said looking at Pathris"you didn't deserve the comments i made earlier, and i am sorry if i insulted you, i should have thought what i was saying, before upsetting the groups morale" he walked away to the corner and picked up his equipment "we best be going then, i'd assume they will be on to us soon, lets make up as much ground as possible before that happens" he walked back to the fountain and soaked his bandage in it, then mopped his brow. </font>

<font color=lightgreen>Pathris watched as Turgon came over to the fountain, but did not say anything. He may have apologized, but it did not mean that he liked the spellcaster. As long as he continued to be of use in battle with his spells, Pathris would have no trouble with him. He didn't like or dislike the guy at this point in time.

Pathris watched as Turgon threw a rock at the sleeping form of Lurin. It was probably about time that they were up and moving again. But he did not stir just yet. "The leg is fine. No need to worry about it," he said simply, in response to Turgon's questions. He was never one for idle chatter, after all.

Lurin finally roused himself and came over to them. Pathris ignored him. He respected the man's bravery and prowess in battle, but he did not like the Elf. Maybe if he kept his mouth shut, he'd be more tolerable.

He got up and stretched, feeling more awake as he moved. He checked his equipment over: two daggers, a short sword, a lyre, three needles, fifteen arrows, five gold coins, and one short bow.

"Well, as soon as the little dragon wakes up, we can be off." Pathris then went and stood by himself, still puzzling over his strange dream.</font>

edit: Might not have time to post again tonight, as I'll be gone. But I'll try if it's not too late at night.

Ryukari finally whimpered and blinked his eyes open, a puff of smoke rising from his mouth as he took a mighty yawn. He then arched his back, stretched out his claws, coiled his neck all about, extended his wings, and generally wiggled around to wake up his muscles. With a cheerful look glimmering in his golden eyes, he then pranced over to Skye. <font color=gold>"Skye! Y col o frusee treor! Yi fus ukoyr zi ty! Yi ond ukoyr golar, Skye, golar! <font color="white"> lurin looked at the group, and walked back towards the fountain, he needed a drink before they left, but was not sure about the cleanlyness of the water. "do you think this water is clean?" he asked the group inquisitively.</font>

Sir Exxon 01-11-2003 06:57 PM

<font color="gold">Turgon watched as Lurin finally woke up, and made his way to the fountain as well. "Well, here we are," he thought to himself. "Sitting around a rusty fountain, nearly defeated by a couple of Ghouls. I wonder how long we'll stick together."
He had gotten the dream out of his head - for now. He still remembered all the details, and all of them puzzled him.

Lurin soon disturbed Turgons thoughts, though. He asked about the water. "Funny," he thought. "I was just about to ask him the same thing."
Looking at Lurin, Turgon answered him in his own tongue. It was what felt most natural.
"I wouldn't do it," he said. "I'm sure washing with it will be fine, but to drink it... Something just tells me not to drink water from a rusty, non-functioning fountain in a place like this."

Turgon lightly grinned, and stood up. Now that everybody was up and nearly fully recovered, he saw no reason to delay their search for an exit.
"Well, shall we get going?," he said with a low, but still courageous voice. "There's no reason to hanging around in here. The question is, where will we be heading? Out from where we came, or to the left?" He gestured towards the other door on the little platform. "The wisest thing would probably be to go own the corridor from whence we came. However, I can't say that I'm not curious on what lies beyond the other door."
He remembered how curiousity had almost lead them to defeat in this room. Deciding to let the others decide, Turgon looked at each of them in turn, awaiting a reply.</font>

Lord Starshadow 01-12-2003 02:20 AM

ooc: Skye, oh Skye? Where are you! Even the cowering Pathris is asking where the lovely Skye is. ;)

<font color=lightgreen>Pathris heard Lurin moving by the fountain. "Take your chances with it," he said in response to the question of the water. He didn't think it was harmful, but he wasn't going to be the one to find out that it was.

He went to the door that had steps leading up to it and examined it. One could never know if a door was trapped unless they examined it, after all. "I think we should keep going forward. If we are underground, which it seems we are, going up, even slightly, seems to be to our advantage."

He turned back to the group. "Well, what do the rest of you think?"

DarkAngel 01-12-2003 05:06 AM

<font color="white">"i'm with you on this one lurin said looking towards Pathris, he was trying to be nice to Pathris, but he doubted it would last. washing his hands in the water he walked towards the door. "shall we get going?" standing next to the door he waited for the rest to prepare themsleves. lets just hope there are not any ghouls in the next room, seems they have a fettish for me he thought. </font>

(ooc: ;) Don't worry Starshadow, I know how to get her back in a jiff! :D *Sets up a single large, mouse-trap looking device made from pieces of plywood and a roller coaster bar, tying a pop-tart in the middle.* ;) She'll definately come as quick as she can now. She can smell her Toby from a hundred miles.)

<font color=gold>The Party</font>
(I'm assuming we're taking Pathris's suggestion, since it IS a good one. )

Pathris did not see any cause for concern, so you cautiously open the door to the next room, and instantly breath a sigh of relief. There does not seem to be anything inhabiting this next chamber. It is a larger room than any of the previous ones you've visited. There are many doors leading from this room, making you believe you may have finally reached the center of the hellish place. You had come in through a door in the center of the room's western wall. There were two doors on opposite ends of the wall across from you, one door on the northern wall, and three doors on the wall to your right, the southern wall. The room was quite open in its decor, with few outstanding furnishings. What really caught your eye immediately was the huge mosaic pattern on the floor in the center of the room. The tiles, in shades of red, gold, and silver, formed the picture of a great, long, curvy sword. Vibrant green tiles laced the edges of the pictured blade, apparently to show acidic properties. After taking in the view of this, you looked around the rest of the room. Four gargantuan black pillars stood at any corner of the square room. They were intricately designed, but you were not nearly close enough to read them. There was a stone statue standing three feet in front of the center southern door, depicting a feminine figure in a hooded robe, her hands held as if in prayer. At the feet of the statue was a small, wooden chest. There were lit braziers at several points in the room, all of them glowing with a strange, pale blue light. Finally, you noticed hanging from the ceiling was a large platform, suspended by several chains, but you saw no purpose to it.

<font color="gold">Turgons eyes glanced over the room. He found the place quite beautiful, but still threatning. "I wonder what this place is," he thought. "Why would anyone put a nice place like this in a dungeon of such evil?"
The small wooden chest attracted Turgon. He wanted to go open it, but his wisdom spoke against it.
"Pathris," he said to the Elf right next to him. "That chest attracts me very much, but I wouldn't go open it until I got confirmed that it is untrapped. Could you go over to it and see what you can do? It's probably locked up tight anyway."

Turgon smiled at Pathris, and strode over the room to the pillars. He had seen that it were some inscriptions on them, and he very much would like to examine them further.</font>
