Doesn't it automatically just change all your previous posts as well (your sig, that is)??? I'm pretty sure it does. </font>
*coughexcusetospamcough* ;) </font>
WHy do you think we're all her uss?
</font>
Yeah, I sort of also referred to my own post with that, but it's unusual to write the same phrase twice ;)

By the way, since it's not enough of a matter to start a new topic, is it correct in English to say "Write as less as possible?" When my teacher said that, I corrected her, saying "Write as little as possible." She said that both words apply. Maybe I'm being stuck-up and she is true, but is she really right? I have my doubts because of previous English teachers I've had, saying 'Bill visited dentist' and pronounciating 'smudge' as 'smooch.'

LOL. No "write as less as possible" is not correct - it doesn't make sense. "Write as little as possible" is correct. Tell your teacher she sucks. J/k

Hmm, perhaps it is possible that it is correct, and used in very few areas? Unlike all my previous rookie teachers, this one has been teaching English for 14 years or so, has spoke to quite a few Americans and Englishmen, and has even developed an American accent for herself. American accent being.. a very naggy voice in her case, LOL(though she does leave an American impression)

nonetheless, despite her vast and varied experience, she remains incorrect. To write 'less' is to write in a quantity that is smaller than a previous quantity. You can't write 'as less as possible'. If you say that in the U.K., or in the states (except for maybe Portrush, and possibly Arkansas) people will automatically know you're a foreigner. It's like wearing a big sign on your shirt that says, "Hey, I'm not from around here! Cheers!"

Your teacher may have been teaching for 14 years etc. but I've lived in english-speaking territory for 15 years. :D If I'm incorrect I'll eat my shorts man :D

</font>
Ah, I can feel my confidence growing.. and reliability towards my English teachers lowering :D

I'll keep in mind to mention that the next time she says so ;)

Thanks!
