OOC>>>Sw-eet!!!

<font color=indianred>Brendon and the party of adventurous travelors began their journey again, heading east...in the direction of the mountains that they were now beginning to see. Along the way, a debate arose on what pathways they would choose to cross the mountain peaks...for rumors were saying that since the days of the Mad One...a terrible lingering storm resided upon the tops of those peaks. Brendon was not from this forum, so he was uneducated as to the layout of the land, or if it were even possible to bypass the mountains...which seemed to be worrying his companions. </font>

<font color=lightgreen>Syrathic looked to the path ahead. Mountains were all that he could see. They were large; many of the peaks rose above the dark clouds. It was an imposing sight, and the elf wondered how they would make it past this obstacle. Even with his keen vision, he could see no mountain pass. The thought crossed his mind that they would have to go underground and he shuddered at the thought. "That's the last thing I want to do," he thought. "The thought of not being in the open air is very unappealing. I hope my companions know what they are doing." He thought about ranging out ahead, but without a clear notion of where they were going, he decided against it.

Syrathic looked at the members of the group. Each gave off a feeling of strong determination. There were other feelings as well: Ruby's wariness, Morguerat's puzzlement of what had happened during his outburst, and his own uneasiness.

The elf thought he heard a sound somewhere ahead of the group, but it was the slightest of sounds, more like the movement of the wind along the rocks. With his mind on other things, however, he took no notice. But his hand moved to the hilt of a long sword, just in case. </font>

as ruby pulls closer to the party, again, her humming is noticed, but this time it seems just right. no other description of it would fit. and as the melodious sound passes through the party few feel a little lighter int heir minds and hearts. nothing is less worrisome, but it now feels as though a decision will come soon, and it will appease everyone. ruby's nervous petting of wyrd's mane even stops, and seems not bothered by the physical closeness of her companions.

From the back of the lammasu Dantes can just make out a figure among the rocks. Not knowing whether this was friend or foe, Dantes decided not to let the figure know that he saw it was there. He instead decided to just note the presence of the figure and keep an eye on them.

<font color=lime>Rhianneth

As she stirs back into reality, she blinks with the unease of one being watched. Yet she makes no obvious movement to glance behind her back, instead walking slowly towards a particularly huge rock.

Sighing, she mutters to herself, barely audible to her surroundings:</font>

<font color=gold>Thoughtless was I when we met
Now I walk with deep regret
Would that you appear right now
Gladly would I make my vow

Banish her away from thee
Then would you be truly free
Take me as your lady love
Watch the angels smile above

Give a sign, O where are you?
Come, that we could start anew
Courage, man, you'll make it yet
For you're a mod, do not forget...
</font>

<font color=silver>ooc: Just taking advantage of the lull in posting to move things along a little.</font>

<font color=thistle>The end of day finds the tired band having reached the craggy foothills of the mountains which ring the inner forums. Even here the fierce shrieking of the winds through the narrow passes is audible as a low whistle. The dark and swollen rain clouds over the mountains stand in defiant contrast to the gentle blush of the falling sun in the Western sky and great claps of thunder punctuate the sudden flashing of lightning strikes. Nearby is the narrow seam within the stone of the hills which opens up into a corridor leading to the lightless regions and twisting passageways the run beneath the mountains and the unfettered and violent freedom of the storm.</font>

Dantes suddenly halts and addresses his companions, "As you can all see it is getting late. I know the entrance is just ahead of us, and I know our need for urgency, but if we do not rest I fear for our survival in the lightless caverns of the Underdark, and even if we do rest I still fear for our survival. There are many things down there. Things of the dark, that have never seen the light of day. Many things that would be better left undisturbed, but we have no other choice. Our path lies under the mountains. If any are unprepared for this task you may use this time to turn around now and not be thought a coward, for everyone still foolhardy or brave enough to still be coming, let us set up camp."

<font color="99ff00">The Morguerat formerly known as Sir

Speaking for the first time since his outburst earlier (after which he had withdrawn almost completely from the group, riding point in a scouting position, content to be there, and glad that he was left to his own thoughts).

With his visor still down, obscuring some of his words he said, "Aye, we should get some sleep, we'll be worse than useless, we'll be dead, tragic, as well as useless, that is of course hoping anihilation is the best we've got to hope for in the coming days underground. I'll keep first watch, as I'm not likely to get sleep this night in any event."

As they began to settle into their bedrolls Morguerat walked carefully over to Zachary, being careful to avoid looking at Ruby.

"Can I talk with you for a time, I'm not good at asking for aid, but it seems as though I could use some now."</font>

After helping the company set up camp Dantes retired to the fireside with his spellbook, carefully sorting through, and memorizing some spells he thinks will be useful during the long dark road ahead. He knows even his powerful magic's may not be enough to even get them to the hunger, let alone somehow manage to subdue it. For more than once today Dantes dourly at his spellbook.

*************************MEANWHIILE

Dankorona had never been this tired in all his life. All this hiking he was not used to, and his little legs were finding a difficult time keeping up with the rest of the group, but he would not complain. He had specially requested to be allowed to go on this insanely difficult adventure, and even though he was having second thoughts now, he was not going to let anything stop him from going on it, but needless to say he was glad they were setting up camp finally. Dankorona set about setting up his newly purchased tent, he had just bought it after leaving the dwarven inn. There was an illustrated guide included on how to set it, but Dankorona was not one known for his patience. Within 15 minutes Dankorona was so tangled up in the mass of canvas that he could barely move, the worst part about it was no one seemed to notice. Dankorona knew that they had their own problems, and was above asking for help so he struggled futiley for 20 minutes before residing to the fate of sleeping tangled up in his tent. 10 minutes after that Dankorona was sound asleep, his snores occasionally rising above the crackling of the fire.

OOC: what do you guys think of Dankorona? I am kinda just screwing around with him, if it is annoying you guys I can get rid of him. :D

EDIT: my spelling is atrocious why dont you guys yell at me
