Maybe the smurfs aren't really living creatures at all. Maybe what we are seeing are really the enhanced versions of what they really are. Enhanced by the imagination of the kid playing with them and pretending they are little creatures that talk. That would explain why they dont make a whole lot of sense. So where did this kid find these little blue things? Easy, they fell from the sky - after a commercial jet airplane released ejected the blue-dyed contents of it's on board lavatory. See, a perfectly logical rational scientific explanation! ;)

I still think there is a xvart connection... I mean, what is the difference between a smurf and a xvart, anyway?! (Smurf + xvart crossbreed = svart ... or maybe xmurf)

PCs: "Damn smurfs!"

This discussion did remind me of the one song that Eddie Murphy was famous for singing (back in the 80's) - "My girl wants to xvarty all the time..." There's always the Twisted Sister classic, if you prefer, "You've got to fight, for your right, to xvarty." And who can forget the Bon Jovi classic, "Shot through the xvart and you're to blame, darlin'. You give love a bad name." Or the ever-popular Bonnie Tyler hit, "Total eclipse of the xvart."
Man, we could put an album together. And if we do, we'll have to include their favorite musician, Xvart Garfunkel.

I was taking a little nap about 2 hours ago. When all of the sudden the cat goes crazy, tearing across the living room towards our gas heater. I'm getting up off the couch at this point and hear a banging in the heater and it sounds like it's going down the gas line. When I get over to the heater, I can see the cat is playing with something and when I bend down to get a better look, I see that it's a tiny white cap!

True story, that is except for everything that wasn't me taking a nap. :)
