<font color=skyblue>DM's Rule Adjustment:

During the length of this game, and only limited to this game, only Ruby and Arcades will have the telepathic powers associated with their class skill in speaking with all others <u>mentally</u> if they choose to do so. They will continue to play their powers as they did in the previous game, with the same limits and allowances.

No other player can communicate with others by telepathic voice, though a mage can use spells that have to be cast correctly and succeed in the casting in order for hypnotic suggestions or other related spells dealing with the mind. I will not allow any items in this game that grant auto-telepathy.

As a special grant by me, Tao will maintain the telepathic power to speak without limit to her friend Arcades as she is currently doing, but only to him. </font>

1. Should the game be limited to a rule-set standard, where the players make the moves, but the DM calls the shots? The DM would be able to deny a move if it was outside standard, because he would know the strengths/weaknesses of each person playing...and has knowledge of things that the gamers do not.</font>

To a certain extent, but not limited to every post, or else the game would take ages to move on etc. But you could deny moves if it were at a crucial point, or totally out of character/beyond characters limits.
<font color=lightgreen>
2. Should the game be free-form, where each player is his/her own judge, and the game designer would not restrict the creativity of a player, as long as it did not interfere with the game's layout?</font>

Not quite, it should still be a bit restricted if a post is over the top etc.
<font color=lightgreen>
3. If you answered "Yes" to #1, what would you do or say if the DM allowed a move that you personally did not think was fair? </font>

I would get on with it, its a game!
<font color=lightgreen>
4. If you answered "Yes" to #2, do you have any suggestions on "how far is too far"? Does unlimited really mean unlimited or does it mean, "higher limits"? If it means "higher limits", then specify those limits please. </font>

as above, there should be some kind of restrictions, stuff that wouldnt be possible with a character shouldnt be allowed.
<font color=lightgreen>
5. Do you trust the Game Designer, including all that he/she allows, does not allow, and the manner in which he/she is conducting the game?</font>

Of course, I have worked with you before Larry and you were great!
<font color=lightgreen>
6. If you answered "No" to any part of #5, what might the DM do to improve the game's performance besides conducting this survey and following through with the majority of the vote?</font>
<font color=lightgreen>
7. If you are the minority of this poll, will you:
a. Remove yourself from the game?
b. Conform to fit in with the majority of the vote?
c. Continue to do things your way until you have to be asked to leave?</font>

b. although I dont think I'm a minority
<font color=lightgreen>
8. Do you have a personal problem with anyone in this game, and if so, will it affect your gaming ability? If so, will you make attempts to resolve the issue or continue to allow it to hurt all other players on this game?</font>

no problems what so ever

Larry, I may be blind or something, but I dont seem to have acknowledged what the problem(s) is/are. I enjoyed the game as it was running, but I hope it will be even better with some slight improvements that you are getting advice on. Cheers for listening, thats what I think, Ross

Waiting on Arcades and Skye, until tonight.

TAOWolf 04-16-2004 06:26 PM

Larry, I'll see if I can get ahold of Arcades, and let him know, or let him give me his answers...
he has been having problems with the time-out IW fopa... lol :D

The game is again open. It appears that we just needed to iron a wrinkle or two out.

I would looooove to hear what everyone thinks of the last post I made It is the number one mission of this game.

Should I change anything in the post I had used it in?

Great post. Interesting mission you described there.
BTW thanks for closing the html tags, I seem to have forgotten to do that. :D

Larry_OHF 04-17-2004 05:21 PM

No, dplax, you do not need to change anything. It is not worth the effort.

Sorry for being away, recently had a regatta for crew (and have a loverly sunburn to show for it ) and college junk. The majority of my opinion is mirrored in the others, and if I believed I wouldn't like how this thread was going to go, I wouldn't have joined in the first place. I believed that all who participate in this thread know what their doing, and how to have fun without over-stepping their boundaries. :D

btw, pming the DM... :rolleyes: a lil' question pertaining to a certain ring... ;)
