Ah, I see. :D Very clever. I may be using rope to do that one thing, you know, the thing from that one story, where you were left thinking, "Oh my gosh, I can't believe they just did that thing!"

I am so confused now that I do not even know how confused I am... BTW, have you ever thought of a lasso-like item that could be used in combat, so that you e.g. could catch a monster rather than kill it? Would that be possible?

My plan was to obfuscate...

I have thought of a lasso weapon for DC, there is precedence in AD&D, but it is not possible in the current edition to do that. Bolos are the same kind of deal, but thrown.
In the next release of DC, it will be available to do that kind of weapon, but it will not be in the default items database. However, once the version is in use by others, I will be more than happy to do a tutorial. :)

The new Special Abilities editor that Paul hs been working on is awesome.. It's really going to open up the possibility of all the databases in DC.

Blaargh... Finally nearly am finished with my staircase (after hours of work, blech), and was about to wipe my brow with satisfaction, until I realized that I have to do the down staircase, too! Arrrrrggh... Bad, bad, badbadbad... :(

I have found that I much rather enjoy doing organic art as opposed to geometric art, which makes me tired... So, once this staircase is finished, no more for quite a while! :D

I'm not sure how a downward spiral staircase would look, but for the kind of stairway I did, it's pretty much a hole in the floor, because of the perspective, you can't see the down stairs. ;)

Well, after this, you won't really need any more staircases. :) You can always use magical teleporters or ropes. :D:D:D

Well, you do not see the stairs, but the ceiling of the staircase and the rounded wall may take some time...

Hopefully, there is enough of the wall behind the staircase that some cutting and pasting is possible. :)

In my case, I made a template first, in a layered file so that I can have different stairways if I need them. :D

Yeah, that is the problem, essentially (drawing the rear walls, ceilings, etc.)... I have decided not to add shadows, but I wonder how that will look? (I should have planned better (thinking about the easiest way), but it is too late now...)

Also, I'm not sure, but I think the GIMP killed my Notepad for some reason :(
