Thanks for asking Cloud Kin. The pulminary specialists have decided that she has emphazema. I've just come back from the hospital and she had a "bad spell" while I was there with her. They've got her on 5Liters of oxygen right now and are pumping her with steroids and antibiotics.

Attalus, they are being pretty vague on what exactly caused this to occur. Maybe a viral infection, maybe an upper respitory infection.

Antryg, ask them if the blood cultures were positive. And, as far as emphysema goes, is she a smoker? An ex-smoker? Did the terms pneumoconiosis or the dread term pulmonary fibrosis enter the conversation?
