I'm glad to hear that our London IWers are okay, as well as their friends and family. My heart goes out to everyone... it can't be easy, and the aftereffects will be felt for a long time.
I'll echo Bithron to some extent... May there be healing for the injured, peace for the dead, comfort for their families, hope for their countrymen (and women), and full justice for the worthless scum who perpetrated this act. |
BTW: Sorry for my bad writing, if anyone is offended, English is not my native language...

Don't worry about it Bithron, it was perfectly understandable.
Thankyou for all you foreigners comments of support, it means a lot to all us English that people from other countrys feel our pain too. But, on a more somber note. You say that the Terrorists will never win. Whilst I think this is true, in my personal opinion, they will never lose. They have unlimited funds from Afghanistans Opium trade. They have unlimited men willing to die for their cause. And the biggest reason why they will never lose? They can never be found. We've still not found Bin Laden, one of the most famous and recognisable people in the world. How are we meant to find the millions of ordinary people who are secretly terrorists? We cant. This will be an endless loop, that will never end. Thats just my opinion. Now, something I want your opinions on. These attacks are all religiously motivated,so what I want to know, do we fault the people carrying this out if they truly believe they are doing the right thing for their god? I know we have to stop this, even if it means killing them all, but what always gets me, is that they truly believe they are carrying out a Holy War. Can you fault someone if religion is their life, and this is what they believe in? They don't think they're being evil. They think they are right. *I'm not saying they are right. I hate them for what they have done, and I wish they would go straight to hell. I don't know enough about the Islamic faith, so I was wondering if you could give me their religious standpoints on this and your opinions. Thankyou* |
My cousin works in London, and she was very lucky.
She works at a travel agents, and commutes during the peak rush. However, on this particular day, she had an early shift, and had to arrive an hour or so earlier. If she had been given her regular shift, it is almost certain that she would've been on that bus. While I'm angry at the terrorists for this event, and I'm annoyed that they had to subject our beloved island to an attack, I can't help feeling we had it coming our way. I mean, get into their skin; we bombed the living hell out of Eastern countries, and I'm sure there were many civilian casualties in the process. Did we really think we could get away with it without a reaction? If anything, we deserve more of this bombing treatment. Not that I want any of course; it would be idyllic if it could all stop relatively soon. Long live the BMR |
Lavindathar, I'm afraid that question crosses the moratorium, but PM me, I've done alot of research into Islam following some emails I received from a friend, I might be able to help, at the very least with a few links that should be useful.

I don't know much about islam and I try to respect all religions and faiths, I don't think that it says anywhere in the Coran that you should blow up american towers and english busses!

Tell the families of the dead and wounded how we deserve more of this! Sometimes if you've nothing sensible to say, it's best to say nothing |
