Just did my Spanish listening exam, it went fairly well I think (anything below a A is frowned upon here in gib, it being our second language and all...ironic eh :D ) despite the fact that compared to most Gibraltarians my Spanish linguistic skills aren't too impressive. Something which I am embarresed of was that I was unable to express the English word for Tortilla (potato omellete) something which I should have known as I make it every day for my lunch in school :D

Interesting, Sigmar. In Mexican Spanish, a tortilla is a flatbread made of masa, fine corn flour, or wheat flour and lard.

Is that the pastry that is used in tacos and kebabs to hold the meat inside? If so we call that Pita bread around these parts, could be differant though.

</font>
I've been online from my home the past few weeks, i had my old comp repaired. All it took was a new mainboard. But the difference is that i went up from a Pentium 3 450 to a Pentium 4 2000. That's what i meant with being faster, not faster with posting. :D

Now when i plug in a Geforce 4 in a few weeks i'm in game heaven. This one came with a Geforce 2, it's not bad, but i want more.

Tell me about it!

...One day I hope to experience broadband :D

I can't imagine what navigating a forum at fast speeds would be like...kind of like the twilight zone I guess.

johnny 05-13-2003 11:08 AM

Sigmar, that wasn't what i meant, i have broadband for quite some time now, i meant faster as in a better processor, so my gaming improved a lot. I had several copies of games i couldn't play on my old system, like Arx Fatalis, Age of mythology, and Vietcong to name a few. But now that's not a problem anymore. I'm in game heaven now. :D

Btw, i tried logging in to HADB, but i forgot my password. When i ask for an e-mail with a new one, it doesn't reach me. I've tried it 4 times now, but somehow i don't get a mail with a new password. What do i do next ?

Yeah I knew what you mean but I'm not able to play in any multiplayer games nowadays as practically EVERY serious gamer has broadband, making it really hard for me to win at anything or compete at anything anymore (by the time I turn around in Quake 3 I'm dead :D ). You can experience the world of Online gaming, I can't. Besides my PC ain't that hot either. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for you :D

As for HADB you can see I'm the newest registered member, I've been waiting for the board to send me my membership password for four days or so now and I'm beginning to suspect it ain't showing up. I don't think you should hold your breath :D I think its a sign to stop, like I said elsewhere "In short, forums are born and forums die Johnny. It looks like HADB is well and truly on its way to death's doorstep, its time to stop flogging the dead horse methinks. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted eh?"

The sad truth, I for one hoped it would never come to this :(

I wonder what happened with the passwords though?
