<font color=CCCCCC>Without waiting for you to follow, he plunged into the stairwell, as he neared the bottom he began moving extremely quickly, and smashed into the door, knocking it open as he rushed into the room.</font>

<font color="plum">Mistral</font><font color=CCCCCC>

The door the monstrous "master" had left through slammed open with a force that momentarily stunned you, the delay was long enough, however, for the vampire to rush towards you, somehow you managed to duck as he attempted to tackle you and landed against the door instead, while very quick yourself, he seemed to be moving faster than humanly possible, and he begins picking ihmself up, dusting himself off as he does so, and he grins, baring fangs that look more like those of a viper than a man. As they fold down, like a snakes and lock into place as he hisses a curse in some slavic language you don't understand, you do notice that he is now moving at normal speed.</font>

OOC everyone can now react, for those with the power of Celerity, you recognize that as the power he used to get to the basement so quickly. (For a description of the room see one of the posts where I described it to Mistral above)

You awake from your restful dreams into a place born of nightmares, you find yourself strapped to a table, arms above your head, still in the clothes you fell asleep in, your stuffed doggie is nowhere to be seen. Your hands are lashed at the wrist in leather thongs and tied somewhere over the top of the table, your feet hang relatively loose, but with shackles binding your ankles to your feet, your wrists don't chaffe yet, but soon will if you struggle.

The room before you is a mad scientists nightmare, about ten feet to your left beakers spew strangely colored smoke that quickly settles into the dirt floor, the bunsen burners providing the only faint light in the room, what it reveals you wish would stay hidden, a man (using the term loosely) that looks like a burn victim shuffles along, his one foot more of a monstrous claw than a human appendage, his other foot is a peg-leg of fused bone the skin ends just below his deformed knee. His back is hunched and where it is exposed from his burlap tunic it is a mass of scar tissue and a spiderweb of raised white lines that could be from a whip or perhaps something worse. His hands are even worse, one has three fingers that look almost like hooves, while the other has eight fingers nearly six inches long each, very delicate looking.</font>

OOC>>>I checked my stats and I believe I am playing my character true as I make this move.

<font color=steelblue>Storm

He witnessed the "Host" move away at an excelerated rate, and disappear from sight. Not knowing what was going on but realizing that keeping this one in check was probably important, Storm knew that he could probably catch up, and activated his own abnormal speed jump.

He was almost leterally flying as on air he moved so fast. He loved the first time that he realized that he had this ability, as some others that had been granted him in his undead state. There was a particular name for his type or group of vamps, but he could not remember that now. He just knew he had some skills that were useful these days.

All of the sudden, he was in this room that seemed to be from an old movie of Frankenstein or something. There was the "master", but he was speaking to something...a human by her smell. She looked very sick and scared.

"Enough! What game are you playing, and what does this girl have to do with it?"

Storm flips back the folds of his long coat to place his hands at his waste. He listened hard to see if the other vampires had the ability to run as fast as he did, and was hoping that they were right behind him. This was not meant to be as it was, surely,,,with him taking on the big guy that his team was sent here to deal with...but he also abhorred the site of vampires feeding on humans, so his conscience made him react before thinking.</font>

Gwynne could sense something wrong, but she didn't greatly increase her speed. She knew that, as a creature that wasn't all vampire, she had no chance against their "host" if they were to fight. The slender girl glanced around at the other vampires around her, trying to tell if they sensed the same wrongness in the air.

Thalali

Thalali saw his friend zoom away at lightning fast speeds. He didn't want to leave him alone with the creature so he started to sprint after him. After a few minutes he came to the dark room that looked like it belonged to a mad scientist. There was a human in the room, and it looked like the master of the manner was facing down with Storm.

Thalali drew his gun and aimed it at the master, waiting for a reason to shoot.

<font color=steelblue>Storm

Storm heard the arrival of his closest friend just as he finished talking and had received the attention from the dangerous one. He glanced over to see Thalali already pulling his guns. Storm smiled as he turned to see the face of the crazy host that was upon the lady. For the first time, Storm realized that another body was in the room...that of a man. Or it used to be. The poor guy seemed to be ripped apart and brutalized in profane ways, and Storm did not know if the man was even alive...though reason said that he should not be.

The smell of sweet blood was heavy in the air.

From the man, and from the girl. It made Storm nearly swoon with hunger. He found it hard to concentrate on the danger at-hand. He had never drank from a human...and hoped he never would have to...but all the same...blood was blood. The other vampires not counting Thalali would soon be in the room too...and they did not have any quarrel with human blood. Storm looked pitifully upon the human girl...in the brink of this dreadful nightmare...nearly ready to become feasted upon by a pack of hungry creatures of doom.

He shook his head and cleared it. An instant had passed, and he could not afford to let his guard down against this foe. But why was he a foe? What wrong had this beast done to him? He looked again to Thalali, puzzled.

"I do not understand what my mind is telling me. Is this beast before us...not unlike our own selves, yet we call him a criminal and draw weapons against him?"

Storm lowered his hands from his waste.</font>

OOC>>>In comparison to your own post, Morgy...in the other game...I decided to learn something from you and allow the heavy smell of blood to cause my reason and humanity to be twisted for a bit. I hope you like it! I am just trying ot play the part fairly.

<font color=CCCCCC>Guarding Mistral to keep her from dashing past him through the door he looked up at Storm, "This 'Girl' is one of those vampire hunters, along with my current work in progress there on the slab," He gestures towards the ruined form of the man that saved Mistrals life, "She will tell me what she knows, and then she will join my pets as a true work of perfection, once I deal with those pesky 'human' features that get in the way of so much of my art." Ignoring your looks of horror, he glances at the broken bonds on the slab that until recently held Mistral, and then bellows "IGOR!"

He then takes notice of Thalali's gun, and grabs Mistral holding her in front of him. His nails are like claws, and his skin is cold and hard as marble, and just as pale. "Fire your gun if you dare, You will do far more harm to her than you will do to me."</font>

ooc Mistral you notice him moving one of his clawlike fingers near your arm, in fact it is the same finger he used to make the incision in your former benefactors chest when he relocated the man's eye.

<font color=steelblue>Storm

"Why don't you just tell my friend and me why our boss sent us over here to talk with you...only to have you make theatrics with the life of a couple of mortals? I want to know what I am in the middle of, and from what I have been told...you are not a friend of ours. therefore, whatever you plan to do in this room must not be what my boss wants done. I would like to hear what you have to say. Make it quick. My trigger-happy friend here wants a reason to kill your ass."</font>

T/-/alali 01-05-2004 06:47 PM

Thalali
Thalali slowly lowered his gun, he didn't want to hurt the girl. As he lowered it the rest of the room came into focus. There was a man, probably dead, on what looked like an operating table, and he smelled it, sweet blood. He realized how hungry he was. He tried to keep his feelings to himself, he didn't want to take blood from a human. Thalali walked to Storm's side and put his hand on his gun, waiting for a reason to take it back out.

No! I will not be ripped apart like him! ~ With panic came urgency, the need to react fast so that this deranged scientist would not desecrate her the way he had so abominably defiled her saviour.

Clenching her fist, she drew a quick breath - not as deep as she liked, but it would have to do - and flung herself to the left, using the force of her weight to shove her captor downwards onto the floor alongside with herself... </font>
