Target 01-28-2007 02:58 PM

Good guess, but no.

The next line is;
"I suggest we ambulate as fast as the local gravity will allow."

Madman-Rogovich 01-28-2007 03:32 PM

Congrats on post no. 400! I will have to think on this quote before I take another stab :D

Madman-Rogovich 02-01-2007 09:08 AM

Could it be 'Meltdown' ?

Target 02-03-2007 01:17 PM

400 posts, now thats not bad!

Yes Meltdown it is. Ambulate, thats a good word, I will have to see if I can use it today!!
Your go Madman

Madman-Rogovich 02-08-2007 10:30 AM

Aight Target, new quote is>

'Oh, I don't know, you know. I had this Geography teacher, Miss
Foster. She took us on a school summer camp trip to Deganwy. I had
the tent next to hers, right. And in the middle of the night I was
woken up by this really weird noise. She didn't think men were
better than machines.' :D

Target 02-12-2007 03:17 PM

HAha, yes I remember...the rumer at my school was our Geography school teacher also liked batteries, but that's a different topic!!

Was that from DNA?

Madman-Rogovich 02-12-2007 09:21 PM

Nope man, good guess but no...

Zink Whistlefly 02-13-2007 11:59 AM

Haha wow! This thread is still going! Excellent!

Target 02-13-2007 02:43 PM

Zink, great to see you, yes still going, not bad eh?

is it from "Thanks For The Memory"??

Madman-Rogovich 02-14-2007 08:33 AM

Ai good to see you around again Zink, myself and Target have been keeping it alive a while :D

Another good guess Target but its not it.

Target 02-14-2007 10:38 AM

I might have to dust off the old videos and get the brain working!!
I'll have a think.
Its not the one with the Inquisitor in is it?

Madman-Rogovich 02-14-2007 01:41 PM

Nope...

If its any help its from my favourite ever episode :D

Target 02-15-2007 04:52 AM

I remember you saying Legion was one of your favourite episodes, is it from there?

Zink Whistlefly 02-15-2007 05:16 AM

I'll have a crack at it - I definately remember the quote but placing it is tricky. I can picture Lister talking to Rimmer in one of the early series (must be 1 - 3), but this is going to be a complete guess. I'll plunge for Better Than Life?

Any of you guys bought the DVD box sets yet? The 2 volumes of "Just the shows" are about £15 each from Amazon - mighty tempted. Will certainly be better than my 10-15 year old VHS recordings :D

Target 02-15-2007 06:21 AM

Have to say I've been tempted to get the box set, espically as the old video chewed up the last tape I put in!! £15 that's good I've not seen them that cheap anywhere.
BTL that's another good episode as well.

Madman-Rogovich 02-15-2007 02:13 PM

Getting warm Zink but still no.

Yep, Im still working the old VHS collection think it might be time to upgrade, especially seeing as Paramount insists on only playing episodes featuring Kochanski.

As for the quote heres another from the same episode.

'Is there any damage?'

'I don't know the damage report machines been damaged'

Target 02-16-2007 04:29 AM

I remember those quotes as well, just can't think of the episode!!
Is it the one where they enter Gelf space?

Madman-Rogovich 02-16-2007 07:52 AM

nope

You guys need another clue?

Dragonshadow 02-19-2007 02:54 PM

I have only just realised how long it's been since i last watched red dwarf...

Target 02-20-2007 07:54 AM

I think I might have it (once I found the quote again, a long scroll up!! :D )
I think this epp involved an epic chess battle between 2 great minds...is it from Queeg?

Madman-Rogovich 02-21-2007 10:45 AM

Right on Target. youre up!

Target 02-28-2007 04:12 AM

Sorry for the late reply!
Hope you like this one, had to watch the epp a few times to get it right!!
"Sir, can't you see your behaviour is totally irrational?"
"In which case we can remove him from duty as per Space Corps Directive 1_9_6_1_5_6."
"1_9_6_1_5_6? Any officer caught sniffing the saddle of the exercise bicycle in the women's gym will be discharged without trial? Hmm, I'm sorry sir, that doesn't quite get to the nub of the matter for me."
:D

Madman-Rogovich 03-04-2007 06:05 AM

a classic quote, but I cant seem to remember the right episode. gonna have to think on this one

Target 03-05-2007 04:38 AM

There are quite a few Space Corps Directive out there so thought I'd do an extra long quote!!

Sever 03-07-2007 09:34 PM

Tricky. I'm scratching my head with this one but i'll take a stab with "Legion"?

Target 03-08-2007 09:28 AM

Nope not Leigon...same season IIRC, does that help?

Madman-Rogovich 03-08-2007 11:24 AM

Same season eh? could it be Rimmerworld?

Target 03-08-2007 11:46 AM

Yep!! Rimmerworld it is! still a scary thought, a world filled with Rimmers!!

Madman-Rogovich 03-13-2007 08:05 AM

Ok new quote guys >
A pub - ahh yes. A meeting place where people attempt to achieve advanced states of mental incompetence, by the repeated consumption of fermented vegetable drinks.

Sever 03-14-2007 08:14 AM

Sounds like Backwards to me..

Madman-Rogovich 03-14-2007 09:05 AM

Good shout Sever but its not backwards..

Target 03-14-2007 12:44 PM

Oh, I was going to say backwards as well.
dang!!

Target 03-19-2007 06:30 AM

Is it the episode Kryton?

Madman-Rogovich 03-20-2007 11:53 AM

Nah, mate - warmer but no :D

Zink Whistlefly 03-23-2007 07:04 AM

Hi guys

Is that the one where Lister meets his younger self performing the "Ommmm" song?

If so I reckon that's Timeslides!

Target 03-23-2007 09:09 AM

Ommmmmm Ommmmmm, its just so dam catchy!!! :D

Good to see you Zink

Madman-Rogovich 03-23-2007 10:20 AM

It sure is Zink, your up mate :D

Zink Whistlefly 03-26-2007 08:52 AM

Here's the next one lads:

His name was Gilbert, but he preferred it if people called him "Rameses Niblick the Third, Kerplunk Kerplunk, Whoops, Where's My Thribble."

Target 03-27-2007 03:28 AM

Yes, I think that's a Rimmer one, the one where he catches the holo virus? And Mr Flibble starts, will have to think what its called, can't remember.

Zink Whistlefly 03-28-2007 04:27 AM

Nope, it's not Quarantine
