putting the vampire tooth back into his pocket and stepping a bit back from the site of all of the bows and arrows, Gus responded to the words toward him. "Oh hello! I decided to go on a little stroll when these weird dark elves jumped me, I could've handled them on my own, I guess I should thank you for saving me some material components..." He guffawed So the sky is that color here? That's pretty cool... I guess anythings better than solid black... I forgot what stars looked like..."

Alae smiled, "The sky is indeed black and starry at night, while blue during the day. If you wish to see it, simply take the corridor to your right and follow it down until reach a door. That will take you to the entrance of our forest." She waved to the guards, who turned about. Alae turned with them and looked back at Gus before she marched off, "I gather Alliene means to take you with us, so please be ready in the morning. We will meet in the dining hall at sunrise." The guards formed a ring around her, and she was gone.

Gus decided he'd had enough exploring for one day. After waving goodbye, he cast a wormhole to his room and stepped through the vacuum portal and back into the room where he had originally rested. He closed the portal, crossed his legs, and immediatley fell asleep, preparing to meet in the dining hall in the morning in his mind.

There were no further disturbances to the people of the castle after Alae and her guards flushed out one more group of drow assassins.
After checking in on her brother, who was sleeping peacefuly, and Alliene, who was sitting cross-legged on a window seat and staring out at the stars, she took to her own bed and had a fairly restful sleep until morning.

When Gus and Arlyth woke up, it was still early (probably around 6am), but when they arrived in the dining hall, the twins, Sylquis, and Alliene were already up, and by the looks of it arguing with the royal advisors. Alliene seemed to merely be watching, and took no notice to the two's arrival.

"I don't understand, my lord. All you tell us is there is some great evil coming to our kingdom and you and her Higness are going to go out and stop it." Said the captain of the guard, who happened to be a woman, "Why do both of you have to go? One of you should stay here and protect the people."
"Because." Alaerth growled, not happy at having to explain himself again, "I must defend my sister, and the further we are away from the city, the better. This...evil, is after us. Our staying would only put the people in greater danger!" His eyes took a sheen of red.

At this statement, everyone began protesting at once, while Alaerth stayed stubbornly silent and refused to back down, Alae speaking for him in his stead. Finally, Alliene lost her patience and stalked to the middle of the group, where everyone but the twins and Sylquis eyed the short drow fearfully.

"The matter was settled last night." she said in a voice of stone, "Nothing you say now will matter. The twins only wish to keep their lands safe, and to do that they need your aid. Right now they are not recieving it. They are going, whether you like it or not. Realize that this evil is not affecting your home only, it will harm mine as well. Do I make myself clear?"
The advisors glanced at eachother, in question, not really wanting to further incurr the Matron's wrath. There were sullen mutters of "Yes, matron." And much bowing before the advisors left in a hurry.

Alaerth, still grouchy, sat down in his chair with a huff. Alae smiled and told Gus and Arlyth good morning, before sitting down with her brother and giving his shoulder a pat. Alliene wordlessly took her seat next to Alaerth.

"My portals and vacuum magics will be yours to command." the Genasai stated to everyone's suprise. Then he slyly threw in "besides, I've got to pay off my being summoned here to you all somehow..."

"Good morning Alae," Arlyth said cheerfully and hugged her, "Sleep well?" he asked, standing next to Alae since there were no seats for him. (I think). He looked around for Sylquis and smiled in greeting at her. She smiled back, and nodded to him. She'd speak to him later.

"Not really." Alae said with a sweet smile, "Why don't you go sit and have something to eat. We are leaving as soon as we are finished."

""Oh... I hope you got some rest though" the boy replied, obediently sitting down, and taking some food for himself. Then he stopped, and starred at here "Going? Going where? I only just got here!" he complained. "You are planning on telling me, arn't you?" he asked, his eyes wide, "Or at least telling me why?" his questions were respectful, but curious at the same time; they were in no way demanding whatsoever.

Alae frowned, "I thought we told you already, but very well. Alliene has located the sorce of this evil and will lead us partway to it, then she herself will leave to settle things in the underdark. By that time Alaerth and I will be able to sense the evil as well, so we can lead.
You do not have to come, in fact, I would advise against it, as it will be very dangerous, and I would not want to put your parent's only child in such conditions. If you do wish to come, then we will not stop you, as you are aware of the risks."
"One more thing." Alaerth said in a surly kind of voice, "If you come, we expect you to behave as an adult. Time cannot be taken looking after you and making sure you havn't run off some where."

Gus looked around for food but couldnt seem to find any. some people appeared to be eating stuff, apparently food, but it didnt look like any of the foods he knew. Then he recalled the atmospheric coloring was differint, so he snapped his fingers and picked up what looked like a very very light-tinted loaf of bread, cut a slice and sat down infront of it thinking to himself, "please don't let this be a rock..."
