Re: Enhanced Walls II
The small pics are really nice! The spider could need a background as it can not be used as a sprite. Would look strange as long as you do not at a cobweb or something like this...
By the way, how big are these Al-mi'raj? |
Re: Enhanced Walls II
Hmm - unfortunately, huge spiders don't make webs... So that wouldn't work as a background... :(
Al-mi'raj are 3' tall at the shoulder (according to the Monstrous Compendium Fiend Folio) or just 3' tall (according to the old Fiend Folio). So they are actually kind of big! Of course, we can interpret those sizes in various ways... There is a new small pic today :D My new villain! ;) (I did this new one in the "slow and precisely"...) |
Re: Enhanced Walls II
Ooh, aah. ;) She looks like a 'good' villain. Nothing like the ol' Princess of Hell to shake your PCs up. :D

Re: Enhanced Walls II
Glasya is always portrayed as being very attractive to humans sans the horns and wings that is. :)
I think that Uatu meant Huge Spiders - the AD&D monster - do not make webs. BTW, Uatu, if you are looking for more undersea creatures to do icons for, the 1e Sea Lion is pretty darn cool. :) |
Re: Enhanced Walls II
As usual Uatu, your work is amazing. Another MS-Paint drawn?

Re: Enhanced Walls II
Glasya (and her daddy Asmodeus) are supposed to be extremely attractive, with certain devilish features (Asmodeus has no wings (or tail?), though, for some reason, although he seems to lack pupils instead...), though; they look very nice, until they break and get angry or do something bad ;)
But yeah, Glasya was also done with MS Paint :D (I can't put this much detail into all my stuff...) Anyway, yeah, huge spiders are basically modeled after the various wolf spiders (who also don't use webs, but they do use silk to line their holes). Manikus: sea lions - didn't they have them in 2e, too? Was there any difference between the 1e and 2e versions? |

Re: Enhanced Walls II
Hmm - so, it is a fully-furry creature in 1e, then?
|
Re: Enhanced Walls II
Just the opposite - in 1e it's fully scaly except the head, but the picture in 2e makes the beast look furry from the 'waist' up. :)
