I know Cloudy, I could use one of those semi-circle shaped desks, I am so cramped for space on mine LOL.

Wendy, you're absolutely right, I won't be sending anything out to anyone. ;)
I don't think there's anything wrong with having such pics and I'm not ashamed of them but they're private property.
Oh and I think I remember the incident you were talking about - that was kinda sad.

Amber - thanks, that's such a sweet compliment.

Hey Mel, that's quite a lot of books there. What types of stuff do you read?
It's not even half of what I own actually ;) I have another bookcase like that on the other side of my sofa, and random books scattered around the place, wedged in between everywhere, and I have some stored at my parents' places too.
I'm a student of English Literature so I love to read a lot and need to read a lot. Mostly English lit, obviously - anything from metaphysical poetry, Elizabethan drama to modern postcolonial writing, Middle English texts, etc. I've a few fantasy books too though, although I'm selective there - I think there's a lot of crap in the genre. And one of the shelves in the pic is full of books on nature, animals, wildlife, the earth etc. I got most of those from my grandmother when I was little. And there's another shelf filled with books on calligraphy, celtic knotwork and manuscript illumination (which I like to do as a hobby) and art/artists. So I'm a bit of a book-omnivore. Yeah, I read mostly fantasy stuff myself amd I'm quite selective too. I figure I get enough reality during the day, so I might as well get some escapism when I read.

Ahhh, I'd love to have that desk, so much space! You need to toss out some of those old bottles though! You even have em on the window sill LOL.

Wow, printer on the tower! What a spacesaver! ;)

Those are mostly ticket stubs on my board... Also a ticket from the Tram Car from the Jersey shore, a painting a friend of mine made for me, and, erm, this picture which is like crack. There's also a ticket stub from the WTC wreckage on there.

Above is where I keep my bottles of things. Oils, perfumes, ink, and sand. There are also some dried flowers and statues up there.

This is my desk, pretty much just my oversized dresser, but it works. Can't really say the same for the digi I took the shot with.

Heh, that's a lot of books Mel, but I think I'll stick with the genre with all the crap in it ;) Btw, how long have you been studying literature?
