Is not diplomacy a "means", sactions a "means", or how about sending a team of Gov't lawyers ( after all we are the King of the Hill when it comes to LAWYERS)? Why does the only response have to be war? Talk about PARANOIA!!!!!! Oh the USA is Going to Invade, thats the only thing they know, the Sky is falling , the Sky is falling. Still ROTHFLMAO!

I will quote myself on this point because it MUST be reiterated(sp?) Why is invasion the only "means"? Why must that be the only thought?
Could not the USA use other means? How often have us citzens been placed in the prisons of sovergien foriegn nations? How many times has the USA gov't believed their citzens were unjustly imprisoned? Name for me the times the USA has invaded because the gov't of the USA thought one of it's citzens was unjustly imprisoned?

I think the fear has no connection to the past. I think the dread has more to do with the present and future, particularly the current administration. ;)

Well, I'm be willing to bet there are US citzens Imprisoned in sovergien foriegn nations that this administration beleives are unjustly imprisoned. ;) If that is the case where does the fear go now? :D

And usually, you have some abious guy either in power, OR pulling strings from the shadows...

No, and that is my point exactly. What makes you think we would invade the Netherlands? As I have said earlier Is not diplomacy a means? how about sanctions? What about negotiations? Last year several US navy personel were "detained" by China did the USA go to war? Show me where the battle feilds are at? So my question still stands, "Where does the fear go now?"

i don't have an answer to your question John, the way i see it the whole world gone nuts since september 11. And i never believed that invading stuff, if you read everything i posted in this thread you should have a clear view on how i feel about this situation.

I read that and I'm glad you don't buy the invasion stuff. As Calaethis Dragonesbane said and an earlier post fear leads to paranoia.
As for the world gone nuts I personally think that happened much earlier then 11 Sept., 2001. Thats why I say I never have any good luck when it comes to mankin destroying itself. :D

What planet were you on before? All it did was bring a perpetual situation closer to (your) home.

So the world hasn't gone nuts. Your world has gone nuts.

The world is the same as it has ever been.

all i was saying is that after sep.11 paranoia is getting the upperhand. i never heard discussions like this before that date. What planet was i on ? A much more adhese one, thank you very much.
