ooc sorry for the delay guys, I've been rather busy, and haven't had a chance to be on a whole lot lately.

IC: <font color="CCCCCC">Orrick raised an eyebrow at the balls but chuckled to himself and grinned, but there was no warmth in the grin, his eyes looked like burnt out embers, black soulless pits from which the monster behind them would only occasionally evidence emotion, and now was not one of those times.

"I thank you all for accepting my hospitality, but your ride has arrived, and I would not dream of hindering you. Remember, whatever information you can find on these vampire hunters do so, but try to be... polite, when you ask about them."

You hear a slight creak and the door you entered from opens and Orrick himself leads you out to the limosine, as soon as he sees you enter he walks back inside speaking into his cell phone in the same germanic language he was speaking earlier.</font>

<font color="orchid">For Mistral</font><font color="CCCCCC">

As you lie strapped to your table listening to your heartbeat pounding in your ears, fear overriding overy impulse you hear the creaking of a door, not the one the horribly misshaped man-thing had left from, but from somewhere else in the room, looking around you see a trap door in the floor creak open and a man climb out, his clothes are dusty and are about 100 years out of fashion, but they appear well tailored and well kept, despite the dust. the man himself looks truly beautiful, like a china doll, his features immaculetly carved his ivory skin, flawless. His fingernails are filed down to clawlike points, but his hands, like the rest of him are perfect, he is tall and lean, without being gaunt and his pale blue eyes quickly search out every detail of the room, and then fix, on you, a slight frown appears on his face, and he walks towards you, examining you from about four feet away.

He opens his delicate looking mouth and speaks in a voice that is quite musical, and like the rest of this man, nearly perfect. "You have intruded upon my domain, you, like this poor wretch," he gestures at the unconscious man who saved you the night before, "have shown some sort of gift for seeing that which you should not be aware of. My kind has gone to great lengths to keep away from prying eyes, and people like you two mess everything up, now what should I do with you." You get the distinct impression that he is talking to himself as he paces back and forth in front of you, rubbing his chin, his long pale blonde hair trailing out behind him.

"I cannot let you go, as you know too much. On the other hand Igor has been good for the last ten years, perhaps I can harvest enough of you to reconstruct him into the human he so desires to be. I could always use another retainer, but I do not think you would serve me willingly, and compelling others was never a tactic I favored. Fear will have to do." He turns towards you, and with the faint trace of a frown still remaining he waits a few moments, then he turns to the table with the splayed open man and proceeds to "work" on him. A few minutes later he steps back and you can see the man put back together, his chest is whole, and the flesh is closed, but the man lacks any ribs, it seems a few were reshaped into ankh like shapes and left in to support his chest cavity, and the rest have been converted into spikes on his arms and sticking out of his chest at odd angles, they appear to be honed to a razor sharpness. One of his eyes has been plucked out and is in the "Masters" hand as he surveys the man, he the runs one of the finger-claws across the mans chest, openning a hole in it, and then inserts the eye about three inches below the collarbone.

The deformed man-thing runs in and rasps "Master, I do not wish to intrude, but guests have arrived."

Glaring at the interruption the vampire's look sends the servant to his knees, as he begs for forgiveness, crying for mercy. "I shall deal with you later fool, begone," in a tone that sends shivers down your spine, and the creature runs back out the door the sound of it's shuffling scratching steps retreats quickly.</font>

Gwynne sat in the expensive limo, looking quite composed and demure. But on the inside, her heart was racing with excitement and a little bit of fear. Finally, the ride was over. The limo stopped in front of an extravagant mansion, which practically oozed money. She took a deep breath, then stepped out. <font color="thistle">"Here goes nothing,"</font> Gwynne thought determinedly.

<font color=orchid>Mistral

What am I doing here... how on earth did I get here... I am not here... this can't be happening to me... ~ The broken record churned precariously in her mind as she witnessed the gruesome scene before her, blinking uncontrollably and occasionally closing her eyes.

Courage, Mistral... ~ It was a feeble whisper, drowned out by the raucous laughter that ensued, each cackle tearing her apart. She knew her hands were clammy, her fingers stiff; and if she opened her mouth, her heart would surely drop out. Worse still... this maniac might well decide to cut off her tongue, for that abominable Igor. Surely this nightmare surpassed all that others could anticipate!

"Let... me.. go..." ~ The words tumbled out slowly, painfully, so parched was her throat. ~ I will not cry... I will not ...</font>

Thalali sat in the limo, his whole body shaking uncontrolably. He was nervous, this creature sounded like a real threat to him, even though he lost his first life he was still afraid of the final death.

The limo stopped, and there was a mansion that would dwarf any other builing he had ever seen before. He got out trying to compose himself, he couldn't show the creature that lived there that he was scared, it would surely kill him then.

<font color="CCCCCC">The mansion was a monolithic structure, located beyond a several run down housing subdivisions, the house resembled something that should have been placed on the east coast when Poe was looking for inspiriation. It was well tended, but had a feeling of age, as if centuries had concentrated the weight of their time and deposited it upon this building. The window shutters were open, but heavy crimson curtains hid the interior from view, the white paint peeled in places, but this added to the sense of foreboding and age, rather than make the house look run-down.

As the Limo pulls up to the front door the house almost seems to breath, the crimson eyes of it's curtained windows seem to watch you, several small shapes seem to crawl across the roof, that is until you look directly at them, then the twisted forms seem nothing more than statuary. This house has probably avoided vanadlism through the sense of fear it brings to bear on those approaching it.

The limo door opens about the same time as the front door, and a creature the size of a small dog crawls out, it lacks hair, but has six legs, with hands resembling a monkeys (they can be used as hands or feet equally). It has a row of spiny protrusions of bone on it's back, but the most horrifying thing about it is the face, it is the face and head of a female child of about 5 years old, it's angelic face framed by blonde curls, with a hint of fear and pain in the eyes, it say "this way please." in it's childs voice.</font>

Gwynne kept her face impassive, with only a small twist in her gut... of fear or revulsion, she could not tell. <font color="thistle">You beat Shadow Hearts,* it's nothing worse than that...</font> she thought to herself fiercely.

ooc: *there's a part in the game where a guy is testing on kids... perhaps not to that extent, but hey ;) my character and I can have some things in common, can't we? :D

Bakilas shoves past the others impatiently and follows the... thing. Without thinking he slides a hand into his jacket and checks that his weapons are within reach, after confirming his gear he removes his hand again.

Thalali climbs out of the car, not wanting to be left behind in the yard of the evil looking house. He put his hands in his pockets, to keep them from shaking. A thousand awful thoughts filled his mind at once, when he looked at the abomination. He followed it, falling in line right behind Gwynne.

<font color=skyblue>Storm reaches out from behind Thalali and grabs his shoulder, causing him to turn and look. "Keep an eye on my back and I'll do the same for you. You are the only one of this group I trust."

Then Storm followed the procession into the mansion. </font>
