Hello All!

I'm Jeff, and one of the younger players at age 30, though this surprises me greatly. I'm a navy nuke electrician in WA aboard a nuclear sub, but in less than a week I'll be a civilian electrician in CA (yeah! all you prior military can sympathise). I've been a pc gamer since my initial love affair with the Commodore 64. Mostly RPGs (escapism, dontcha know), and am thoroughly enjoying W8! I've been married to a non-believer (pronounced "non-gamer") for 5 years. It's great to "meet" everyone! You all have been so much help during those trying times...(still haven't figured out how I was s'posed to know about that dagger in the cornerstone of the graveyard, grrr...)

My name is Mathew, I live in Ottawa, Canada. I've been playing rpg's table top/computer for as long as I could read. I'm engaged to be married in 1 year, and I'm 23 years old. I got into wizardry because I know some of the programers that worked on the project (Ottawa is a small city...and its the only city sir-tech is based in). I got a hot tip from my buddy that this game was gonna be amazing...so I took his word for it since I had never played any of the wizardry games before...Man was he right!

Since EoB I'm addicded to computer RPG's and played many of them.
Wiz7 was a special highligth for me.But I'm still waiting for Wiz8,though I hopefully will get it next week.
As for CRPG players,I think we are a special type of computergamers,despite of the years we live on this planet.
Nearly all the people,indulging in virtual fantasy worlds,I've met,were fantastic people in the "real world".

My Name is Dave, and I live in Maryland, about halfway between Washington DC and Baltimore. I am 31 years old, but feel more like 13.

To make money, I am a call center manager for a large local phone/dsl company. However, what i do for a living is play computer games [img]smile.gif[/img] I have played these games for as long as I can remember. Not just RPG's, but shooters, strategy, sports, etc. Although Strategy and Rpgs are my favorites. When I am not plopped in front of my computer, I bowl and box.

Hot Damn... I remember Shining in the Darkness. Wonderful games, along with Shining Force I & II.

im 18, in Seattle Washington, go by the name of Dale.

Started out with the oirginal... Final Fantasy. havent played one since as they just dont compare to 8 bit graphics and the same 5 second music bit endlessly sampled. but i still try and go back to it every once and a while.

Moved on to the Shining games. and from there Into the bliss that was Sega CD.

Why Sega CD... Lunar(probably the best damn rpg ever made, and id play it again if i could find an emulator[it just aint the same on PSX, in fact it was much worse on PSX than Sega CD]), Lunar 2, and Vay.

from there i borrowed my friends PS2 for a whole friking week to blast my way through that game with 2 disks that is huge and i cant remember the name of. Giant robots and stuff..

and then to the computer where i have been blessed to play games such as this one, Diablo 2 (because we all know how much of an RPG it is... well at least i did new things with it), Deus ex (Machina), Arcanum et all.

so to conclude, if any one of you knows how to make a Sega CD emulator or has one, please tell me, as i cant find any that will work (i have the CD)

Hiya everyone!

Mathew, I am glad you took your friend's word about the game...I have been talking to my best friend since High School (that'd be back in '79 for me lol) via the internet for the last couple of months and just a couple of days ago, told her all about Wiz 8 and hooked her up with links to the Wiz 8 site and another to find her local EB.
I think she is going to play!
She said someone just recently gave her "MYST" and she is looking forward to trying it out.
HA HA! Just wait til she sees what Wiz 8 is compared to MYST!

Hi! I am new to this forum, couldn't refrain from posting seeing all this positive feedback. I am 31 and live in Moscow, Russia. Yes, it IS -20 C outside now. I am a journalist, been playing Super Nintendo since 12 and my real first computer game was Civilisation (Those were the days). It is so nice to learn that there are many people above 30 playing RPGs! When I play Diablo 2 on Bnet (yes, I do that, too) 12 year olds dont beleieve I am 31 and still alive. IMHO Wizardry 7 was the best of them all(I kept my saves [img]smile.gif[/img]

it's very nice to "meet" you all. I'm Brian from Boulder Colorado... and i've like wizardry since wiz5 on the SNES... been playing CRPGs for at least last 5 years... and i'm one of the younger folks so far at 23... jeez... i don't get that much :)
